My mom is a ⭐️. My dad was Canada’s leader. My mom is our family’s leader. She immigrated to Canada and made quite the life for herself and our family. You have no idea how proud I am of her. As a guy with three daughters, I’m so lucky they have Nana to look up to. Happy birthday mama.

Oh, "that's my bread and butter." 😂 It got me, someone in the bakery space, to circle back on this one. Time to take a deep dive on workplace jargon - thanks, Ron Tite. When you think holistically about overused lingo, what really moves the needle? Low hanging fruit can often times lead to paradigm shifts. At the end of the day, many of us don't have the bandwidth to push our vocabulary to new limits. Widening the aperture is the real challenge. So if there are any synergies that can be gained from drilling down, it's likely best to take it offline - hard stop! Now, I have no idea what I'm talking about (actually... zero idea here🤣), so if you have any bandwidth to discuss further, get your ducks in a row and close the loop. Did I miss anything? CFIB reports that over $2 trillion in assets will hit the market within the next decade, with 9 out of 10 businesses having no formal succession plan in place… If you’re thinking about taking this path, I’d love to meet. Timing is never right in life and it’s likely that you’re currently in a great job. In other words, you may think that it’s not worth it. I totally disagree and I’d love to connect if you’re on the fence because CANADA NEEDS MORE ENTREPRENEURS! From finding a business (who sells them anyway?), to hiring advisors (how much do QofEs cost?), to closing transactions (fees!), to what to do after you close (that’s where the fun begins), there is a lot to consider. I bought a commercial bakery in 2019, then another in 2020, and two in 2021. It’s been a great professional journey and I’ve learnt a lot along the way. Yesterday, we celebrated that milestone by hosting an Investor Day at Coco Bakery. A little less clueless but still as eager to make an impact.
