Nicolas Peltier’s Post

I'm thrilled to share the Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) 2023, a collaborative effort between The World Bank and S&P Global Market Intelligence. This comprehensive report ranks 405 global container ports based on efficiency. Here are key highlights from the 2023 CPPI: - Yangshan Port in China continues to lead the rankings. - East and Southeast Asian ports secured 13 of the top 20 spots. - Average port call duration has seen an uptick, from 36.8 hours in 2022 to 40.5 hours in 2023, highlighting the impact of regional disruptions. - Investing in resilience, new technology, and green infrastructure can ensure the shipping industry's sustainability and boost global trade. The CPPI is more than just a ranking—it's an essential tool for stakeholders in the global trading system and supply chains to understand the impact of global maritime shifts on port performance and economic development.
