I have a masters degree in space engineering from Luleå university of Technology. However my job revolves around so much more than that! I do everything from board work and HR to information security implementation and more administrative office tasks. Being part of a management team can often mean wearing many different hats, and that's also what makes my job so exciting! ⭐ What’s the best thing with your job? It's hard to pick one! I love to see how quick our company is growing, all that hard work we’re putting in is really paying off. Sometimes it's even hard to keep up, which makes the job even more exciting. I’ve also really appreciated the opportunity to travel a lot with my work, often together with our CEO aka my life partner. I feel so grateful to be on this journey with him and the rest of my team. ⭐What do you answer when someone asks why space is important? For many reasons! A lot of technologies we utilize on Earth were first developed for "space reasons". It’s been shown that drug development in space can be of great benefit! Special environmental conditions such as high radiation, vacuum and microgravity make it possible to use other manufacturing methods and materials in space! Space plays a big role in human development and the more you learn about it the more exciting it becomes! ⭐Which are your tips to someone who’s interested in starting a space related company? Most industries have some connection to space, which makes it such a diverse and exciting topic. This also opens many doors, and the industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world! A good first step is to learn a lot about the industry, try to understand the upcoming demands from different markets and use the assets available to you. One of the most important steps is probably to create a great team. That's the secret behind the success of Arctic Space Technologies! 🚀 WISS Meets Frida Jussing at Beyond Gravity! ⭐What’s your profession and what do you do at work? I am a Program Manager at Beyond Gravity working with programs from the early stages of development to customer delivery. At Beyond Gravity in Linköping we develop and manufacture for example dispensers, payload adapters and separation systems for international customers such as launch service providers and satellite manufacturers. My work ranges from leading program meetings and managing project financials to carrying out customer reviews and dealing with sub-contractors. ⭐What’s the best thing with your job? Working alongside my brilliant colleagues to deliver mission critical equipment to our customers. The environmental conditions in space are demanding, which challenges us to design and build lightweight structures that are also capable of withstanding very high loads. I really appreciate working in an international environment where there’s so much cool stuff going on. One of my favorite moments is when we have the opportunity to gather at work to follow a launch to which Beyond Gravity has contributed. ⭐ What do you answer when someone asks why space is important? Space is our origin and our future. We need to take care of planet Earth and its inhabitants, and space exploration helps us in many ways to do that. We are in fact extremely dependent on space technology in our everyday lives when it comes to things like communication, data distribution and earth observation. ⭐Which are your tips to someone who’s curious about working in the space sector? Talented professionals are needed in the space industry from so many different fields so my advise would be to follow your passion when choosing your career path. Another helpful thing could be seeking up a mentor within a dedicated program or by reaching out to a person that you find interesting or inspiring. I have been on this platform for quite some good time but I must say I don't know how to use it and for what. Maybe I will figure it out as I grow fatter. Until then, let me use it to share a story that is very dear to me. It is the story of Dawascope Technologies and my pursuit of its vision (or is it a mission?) Some say 'Keep it private until it is confirmed, or you win, or whatever it is.' This may be true but it may not apply everywhere or to everyone. And therefore I choose to share a part of this story even though we are but less than 1% into this adventurous journey. While in medical school, I thought that employment was guaranteed. The day I learned the contrary, the unseen told me not to be dismayed; for there is good in it though it may not be clear. I have lived so far believing in the pros and cons of everything; good or bad. I decided to focus on the pros of this bad thing of unemployment in the medical industry. I love tech stuff. Put into the medical field, I decided to pursue Medtech stuff. The journey kicked off in Dec 2019. I iterated in early 2020, the first lesson. Mid-2020, another iteration, the second lesson. In late 2020, I did another iteration, the third lesson. One year later, (2 years cumulatively), I almost gave up. Time wasted, money lost. Painful lesson. I took a sabbatical leave and in March 2022, the journey was kick-started. It is now almost 2 years ( 4 years of real-world schooling) and looking back, I can but thank God for everything. After an extended pregnancy period of 4 years, a child is crying and crawling in the market, Dawascope PIMS, https://lnkd.in/dZJybZYJ. Soon, it will be doing sprints and marathons. The scope of Dawascope Technologies is the entire medical industry. Being a pharmacist, I could build a product for the pharmaceutical field, and this am gladly doing. To this end, it has been I, me, mine, and myself. But that is not the case. No man is an island and one tree cannot make a forest. Some people have been of great support. My brother Patrick Mwiti has been a cheerleader, and a shoulder to lean on. Eng. Ezrah Nyaega, PMI-RMP®, PMP®, GE Andrew Ambia Langat Tito Kipkirui, and persons X and Y believed in my vision of Dawascope Technologies, and together, we formed a team to steer this ship. I am grateful for believing in me. For us to achieve the scope of Dawascope, The Dawascope Team will not have a pharmacist as the only medic. Soon, we will be a formidable team of Medics from all cadres and Engineers. And together, we will make the impossible possible. I have missed sleep several nights, just thinking of what we doing; torn between being happy or scared. I think the pick-up of Meru's precious cash crop experiences the same confusion when the driver steps on all three pedals. Bees sweat to make honey. But it is much sweeter and better than the [honey] of flies that they never make but get it ready-made. This far is the Lord and the future, it is the Lord.

When we introduced our Cantiro Bright Ideas Program earlier this year, we set out a goal of collecting 100 bright ideas by the end of August 🌟 Our staff have been contributing brilliant ideas stemming from their experience and research, suggesting incremental improvements for daily operations, and even presenting groundbreaking concepts that have never been tried before. At our recent Cantiro Town Hall, we were pleased to announce that we collected a total of 127 Bright Ideas, exceeding our goal! Our staff participated in our Bright Ideas workshop where we had round table discussions and brainstorming on 4 major topics: 1. Affordable Communities – to tackle how we address the aspect of creating affordable spaces in our communities 2. Utilizing Technology – to strive to adopt to new systems to be efficient in our meetings and effective in time management 3. Electrification – to explore ways we can apply alternate advancements in ESG to reduce our carbon footprint as a company and across our communities we serve 4. Let's break down each analogy:   Communication Game: its a complex process that can undergo various transformations as it passes through different stages and involves multiple individuals. Each person involved in the communication chain brings their own perspectives, biases, and interpretations, which can influence how the message is received and understood. This can lead to both improvements and distortions in the communication process.   Balloon Activity: This activity emphasizes the importance of teamwork and coordination. The leader sets the initial pace, but subsequent participants must adjust their speed to maintain balance and ensure success. This mirrors how effective communication involves not just sending messages but also adapting to the responses and actions of others to achieve the desired outcome.   Ball and Cup Activity: In this exercise, leadership is about providing clear directions, and teamwork involves everyone following those instructions simultaneously. Identifying blind spots, areas where communication or coordination may falter, is crucial for success. Adaptive tactics, like those observed in MR Ramesh's team, illustrate the importance of creativity and flexibility in problem-solving.   In summary, these activities illustrate various aspects of communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving. Effective communication and leadership involve not only transmitting information but also adapting, identifying blind spots, maintaining quality, and collaborating seamlessly as a team.
