👏 Well done everyone at Vixio who took part in the #JPMorganCorporateChallenge last week (looking very smart in their matching Vixio run tops)! 👟 Friendly competition aside, it was all for a great cause, supporting the UK's youth homelessness charity Centrepoint 🙏 #jpcc #corporatewellness #teamwork

Reading this and intrigued about what you and your business could do to bring about change? DM, comment below or follow us on socials. Together, we can end homelessness
Homelessness is more of a problem than we recognise! It was great to be invited by Fran Darlington-Pollock & Dolores Panetier to join what could be a powerhouse network of hospitality professionals to combat a concerning crises of homelessness across Greater Manchester. Both charities Only A Pavement Away & Greater Manchester Mayor's Charity are partners for Manchester Hospitality Network & Growth Partners PLC so i'm really excited about getting stuck into this and making a huge difference! Great discussions around the room and If anyone in my network would like to get involved or learn more about the organisations, please give me a shout! #ManchesterHospitalityNetwork

Such an important cause! Homelessness can affect an individual's mental health and wellbeing so let's support the team to help raise awareness and tackle homelessness in 2024. You are inspirational. #Sleepout2024
Exciting News! 📣📣 The Yorkshire North and East Methodist District and Carecent are preparing for the annual Sleep Out for Homelessness Event later this month. ⛺🏚️ Individuals will sleep outside to raise money and awareness about homelessness and the lives it affects. All funds raised will be going to Carecent and Inspire North! ❤️ Initially inspired by a group of young people, this is the fifth year of the sleepout. In that time, they have raised over £20,000, which has gone to local charities, Carecent, Inspire North and SASH. Shoutout to Wirral Ark, a charity that supports hundreds of people each year who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Organisations like Wirral Ark are, sadly, always vital to any area without adequate housing support. They keep our community safe when government safety nets (or a lack thereof) fail to. On their website, this is how the Wirral Ark describes themselves: “Wirral Ark aims to fearlessly unite people in the fight against homelessness. We help individuals experiencing homelessness achieve their personal ambitions through respect, courage, compassion and a personalised plan of action.” Like us, Wirral Ark are based in Merseyside, so anyone who has either helped WODIN or benefitted from WODIN’s services should also get familiar with their work: https://buff.ly/3QAS0qa #WODINShoutout We plan to regularly shout out other non-profit or charitable organisations that are doing good in the world, especially those based in Liverpool and Merseyside. Charitable organisations are not islands: we all have our niche and area of focus, but the work we do is in service of the larger, shared goal of making our communities into safe and equitable places to live. We want to spread the love to all the other organisations who are contributing to this goal along with us. #WODIN #Merseyside #MerseysideStories #MerseysideCharity #MerseysideCharities #Wirral

Did you know the Community Organised Resource Exchange connects businesses that have surplus, with the community sector? Don Hancey owns a commercial kitchen in Osborne Park, and he recently provided his kitchen to Homelessness We Care who used the space to cook their weekly meal service for their homelessness community. The exchange was a win-win for both parties, as The Kitchen was sharing an unused resource, and Homelessness We Care were able to benefit from that resource, for the purpose of preparing a meal for rough sleepers. Do you know a business that has surplus resources, time, or logistics to donate, that could be of benefit to a charity or NFP? Visit corexchange.org.au and create an account today. #communitysector #sharingeconomy #sharingresources #circulareconomyaustralia #sustainablecommunities #communitysector
How can the Community Organised Resource Exchange work for NFPs and business?

Rough sleeping is the most visible and dangerous form of homelessness. Evidence shows that people sleeping on the street are almost 17 times more likely to be victims of violence. Our mission is to put an end to rough sleeping and support those experiencing homelessness into housing and independence. The threat to our funding is still uncertain, if we were to lose funding this would result in the closure of The Falcon Centre, our 30 bed hostel in Loughborough which prevents rough sleeping and provides the community with housing, community and recovery support through the drop in programme. If you can show us support in these uncertain times and help us sustain our specialised face to face services through, sharing, donating, or fundraising, please reach out.. Shoutout to the Paper Cup Project, a Liverpool-based charity that supports the homeless by providing food, drinks, clothing, support, and advice. Organisations like the Paper Cup Project are, sadly, always vital to any area without adequate housing support. They keep our community safe when government safety nets (or a lack thereof) fail to. On their website, this is how the Paper Cup Project describes themselves: “Papercup Project was founded in 2015 by Michelle Langan, as a response to the growing homelessness crisis. In 2019, Papercup Project was award official charity status." Paper Cup Project are based local to us, in Liverpool, so anyone who has either helped WODIN or benefitted from WODIN’s services should also get familiar with their work: https://lnkd.in/eai3zQUq #WODINShoutout We plan to regularly shout out other non-profit or charitable organisations that are doing good in the world, especially those based in Liverpool and Merseyside. I help small charities with Individual Giving (Donor Engagement, Stewardship, and Retention) and Fundraising Campaigns | Available for speaking and training engagements
To all my fundraising bid-writing cousins and small charities, I'm sure you have already heard... The National Lottery Community Fund Awards for All England are now offering funding from £300 to £20,000. That's up from £10,000. You can apply for funding to deliver a new or existing activity or to support your organisation to change and adapt to new and future challenges. You can fund projects that will do at least one of these things: 🤲 Bring people together to build strong relationships in and across communities 🔼 Improve the places and spaces that matter to communities 🆘 Help more people to reach their potential, by supporting them at the earliest possible stage 👨👩👧👧 Support people, communities and organisations facing more demands and challenges because of the cost-of-living crisis. Merge Café is a place where anyone can come for kai and help with housing. Within the café, we have peer support volunteers, many of whom have come through our support services and want to give back. There's a coat rack where anyone can drop off or take a coat, or hat. So if there was ever a place to meet Teresa Moore, CEO of Catalytic Foundation, our beloved café seems like the obvious choice. Meetings like these are truly inspiring. They're a gentle reminder to pause and reflect on the busy work we do (often in isolation) and think, maybe there's another organisation, another business who might like what we do (or already be doing similar work), who may want to partner up. That is what the Catalytic Foundation is all about. It's about connecting businesses with not-for-profits to maximise social impact. Hard work and good manners may get the job done, but partnerships make everything stronger.
We had the honour of having a yummy lunch at Lifewise NZ Merge Cafe in K Road, where every dollar donated goes towards support for people experiencing homelessness. #communitysupport #donate *Payday giving and donations to the Catalytic Auckland Community fund help us provide funding for important organsations such as Merge Cafe

🚨 New Community Partnership alert 🚨 Welcoming First In Events as our latest instalment to the Community team. Lead fundraiser on the project, Tom, is a fantastic ambassador for the charity - a former soldier with over 30 years service. He cares deeply about service personnel that have been injured in the line of duty, or who have fallen on hard times. Tom and his network will be going through a series of gruelling tasks over the course of next year in an effort to fundraise for Help for Heroes and raise £10,000 for the cause. Very much looking forward to this new partnership alongside the brilliant Dean Williams.
