For many tech professionals, their career goal isn’t the C-suite. The idea of operating as a senior executive, complete with hundreds or even thousands of reports, leaves them depressed—they didn’t get into tech to manage people, after all. Fortunately, more companies than ever are waking up to their senior tech professionals’ preferences in that area—and developing specialist tracks that can prove as fulfilling and lucrative as a traditional CIO, CTO, or even CEO position. But what does it take to land on one of these specialist tracks? Let’s dig in. #specialist #techpro #jobskills #jobhunting

Simplifying Tech When it comes to spotting top tech talent, there's one thing that really sets candidates apart: their ability to make the complex simple. It’s a game-changer in the tech world, where things can get pretty complicated. In my recruiting experience, the real pros are those who can break down tech speak into plain language. Think about it 🤔. being able to explain tricky tech stuff like it’s no big deal shows they really get it. Plus, it means they can work well with just about anyone, from tech gurus to total newbies. I love when candidates can chat about intense topics like they’re explaining how to use a coffee maker. For example, if they can make sense of a complex software integration in a way my grandma would get it, they're probably a keeper. It’s about getting the point across effectively, not showing off how many buzzwords you know. Keeping things simple doesn’t just help in understanding tech., it’s also a sign of great leadership and teamwork potential. If they can explain it simply, usually a great sign. That’s the kind of person who not only fits in but stands out. #techrecruiting
