Good article concerning the need for improved excipient supply chain controls!! Unfortunately, some pharma companies just do!’t “get it” and still buy low quality excipients from questionable suppliers based primarily on cost!! This HAS to stop!! These companies need to recognize their responsibility to be a player in this market or get the heck out of the pharma business. Patient safety is at risk and this can’t be compromised!!! Anyone using low quality excipients needs to be held accountable, especially in these cases related to DEG/EG poisoning!!
