Today, the Department of Civil Service hosted an impactful and joyful Pride Month Celebration event. We enjoyed inspiring remarks from our speakers Commissioner Jackie Bray of NYS Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Services and Nathaniel Gray, Executive Director of the Pride Center of the Capital Region. Thank you as well to , our own Commissioner Timothy Hogues, and Kieran Cooper, our Diversity & Inclusion Specialist, and Daniel Dobies, the Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera and Edie Windsor LGBTQ+ Fellow from Executive Chamber. Thank you for everyone who joined this event to consider the powerful theme: “Reflect. Empower. Unite.” Our speakers encouraged us to consider the historic and the ongoing challenges that the LGBTQ+ community has faced, while tasking us with channeling our collective efforts into uplifting and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. #PrideMonth #TeamCivilService
