  Next week (7th–14th July) marks National NAIDOC Week, a time to celebrate and honour the achievements, culture and history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia. Thank you to the team at US High Speed Rail Association for hosting this year’s High-Speed Rail 2024 conference, it was a great experience for Network Rail Consulting (NRC) Mark Pettigrew, Graham Beal, Andrew Mitchem and Ryan Scott who were in attendance. Ryan delivered a presentation on California High-Speed Rail’s Solar Power and Battery Strategy. Mark commented: “What a great event and what incredible passion and commitment in the room towards realizing a connected high-speed rail system in the United States. Last week, Network Rail Consulting (NRC) Associate Director, Stations & Commercial Project Development, Janey Bell and Project Interface Manager, Kristin Stiles, PMP, PMI-PBA attended WTS International Annual Conference in New Orleans. Janey said ‘‘It was a pleasure to attend the WTS International Annual Conference and share ideas and innovations around connecting cultures and communities through transit. This week marks Mental Health Awareness Week and in honour of this year’s theme “Movement: Moving more for our mental health” Network Rail Consulting (NRC) is encouraging employees to share how they create movement during their working day. According to Mental Health Foundation 2024, 36% of UK adults find it challenging to find the time for physical activity.
