This morning we introduced trans-apical beating-heart mitral valve repair to our surgical armentarium. Great team. Great fun. Great proctoring. And ultimately great results for our first 2 patients: - We used 3 NeoChord, Inc. for degenerative P1/2 prolaps after anuloplasty - tough due to rigidity in re-do setting -> no MI postprocedural - The other patient received 3 NeoChord, Inc. for degenerative P2/3 prolaps without anular dilatation -> no MI postprocedural Thanks to: Oliver Dewald Fritz Mellert Markus Kondruweit Christian Heim Jörg Prof. Dr. med. Congratulations to the team of Dr. Corey Adams and Dr. William Kent from the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the Libin Cardiovascular Institute at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary. They recently completed their training to be certified as a NeoChord Independent Center. Also, a special Thank You to our distribution partner RSK Medical. These NeoChord cases were completed under the Health Canada Special Access Program.
