This is an detailed piece on where India stands in terms of climate action which is skewed towards mitigation yet without a clear pathway and there isn’t enough focus on adaptation. Repeatedly forest based communities have been sidelined and not heard in amending existing policy or making new policy in the country. #climatechange #climatepolicy #climateaction https://t.co/ZXA5LrsfVh

AMAZON , Don’t destroy AMAZON Our forests are disappearing at an alarming rate. Over the past few decades, we've witnessed the devastating impact of deforestation, with millions of acres of lush, vibrant ecosystems being cleared for various purposes. This alarming trend not only destroys the natural habitats of countless species but also contributes to climate change, soil erosion, and the disruption of vital water cycles. It's time we take action to protect and restore our precious forests and oceans and finally Earth before it's too late. NATO or other Organizations are also responsible for protecting our forests and oceans and all humanity with peace . They should respect to all thoughts without considering racism and finally developing to keep our planet Earth . We have no other place to live as alternative except Earth . Let’s young leaders control future of our planet. NATO and other Organizations related are responsible to bring peace not to manufacturing war guns and tools . We are all in one ship . Please don’t make hole our ship .
Very recently, the EU Climate Change Service Copernicus announced that the global average temperature for the last 12 months (July 2023 - June 2024) was 1.64°C higher than pre-industrial times, thus exceeding the 1.5°C stipulated by the Paris Agreement. In this period, unfortunately, there is (no) need for science to confirm how fast the climate is changing, as we feel it with all our senses. But we are not all equal in the face of climate change. Although they contribute the least to climate change, small communities, urban or rural, do not have the economic, financial, technological and human means that large urban areas have (or should have). Faced with this situation of #climateinjustice, under the auspices of the #EUClimatePact, with #REPER21 we are launching a unique initiative in Turnu Măgurele, in the South of Romania, an area extremely exposed to climate change impacts: a multi-actor #climateforum. On July 19, we meet at the Educational Center of Mircea cel Bătrân Secondary School to debate with nine EU Climate Pact ambassadors about the approaches and tools that small communities can develop and apply to adapt to climate change and build resilience at all levels. Stay tuned as we'll post here the main highlights! EU Environment and Climate

Being tactical on Adaptation, & Mitigation is key. With CBA, economics to qualify. Let’s see sector options.
Great illustration showing Climate Mitigation and Adaptation options per sector and their feasibility. Extreamly important statements on Climate Mitigation and Adaptation from IPCC synthesis report ⛔️ - Deep, rapid and sustained mitigation and accelerated implementation of adaptation actions in this decade would reduce projected losses and damages for humans and ecosystems and deliver many co-benefits, especially for air quality and health - Challenges from delayed adaptation and mitigation actions include the risk of cost escalation, lock-in of infrastructure, stranded assets, and reduced feasibility and effectiveness of adaptation and mitigation options #health #quality #infrastructure #future #climatechange #sustainability #adaptation #mitigation #climateaction #environment #finance #economy #people #leadership #management #energy #infrastructure #agriculture #technology #innovation #biodiversity

Expert Analysis | 13 April 2024 | Vajirao & Reddy Institute What's the India's Climate Policy? The 1990s were a time of great change in India and the world, which led to the forging of new policies in many areas, including on the environment. The Rio Summit of 1992 saw the emergence of: • The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) • The Convention on Biological Diversity. • The Convention to combat Desertification. After Rio, the divisions of climate change and biodiversity in India’s then Ministry of Environment and Forests came to life slowly and steadily. #climatepolicy #indiasclimatepolicy #climatechange #vajiraoreddyiasinstitute #bestiascoachingindelhi #dailyiasshortnews #vajiraoreddydailyiasshortnews #bestdailyiasshortnews

Ensuring forest recovery is crucial, especially in the face of climate change, invasive insects, and irresponsible green space impacts. Implementing efficient and innovative industry standards is essential not only for the health of flora but also for improving fauna life. These adverse effects trickle down to human health, leading to sudden health issues. Therefore, it's necessary to implement changes now. #nationalforestweek , #climatechange, #oursustainablefuture
