Today, Blue Owl Capital announced the close of our acquisition of Kuvare Asset Management. This is an exciting moment for the firm as we officially launch Blue Owl Insurance Solutions and enhance our ability to serve the insurance market at scale. Thank you to the Legal & Compliance team members who have been working to bring KAM under the Blue Owl umbrella, and a warm welcome to our new joiners! https://lnkd.in/eEtDV6yT

I’m looking forward to representing Blue Owl Capital as we work together to build public-private partnerships that contribute to the city’s continued growth and vitality.

Year-round, the front door of Blue Owl Capital's Legal & Compliance department is adorned with rainbow owls. As Pride Month comes to an end, I’d like to share this photo alongside some thoughts from Brett Cook, Principal of Legal & Compliance and Chair of Blue Owl's Pride Network: “It’s subtle cues like these stickers of our Pride logo on our front door that consistently display Blue Owl’s support of our LGBT+ associates and their allies throughout the year. I know I, and many others, relish working for a firm that values and welcomes diverse people, their ideas and values that enrich our culture and the products we bring to the market.” Happy #Pride!

I met so many industry leaders at last week’s With Intelligence Women’s Private Credit Summit in Chicago. My Blue Owl Capital colleague Meenal Mehta spoke on a panel focused on the future of Private Credit in the morning. She tapped her 20 years of experience to walk us through the evolution of the asset class and shared her perspective on where we’re headed. Meenal is a great example of the depth of experience and industry knowledge we have here at Blue Owl. Later in the day, I spoke on a panel focused on the rise of BDCs alongside Kimberly Grant, Therese Icuss and Stacy Wang moderated by Nicole Runyan from Kirkland & Ellis. Thank you to the (standing room only!) audience for participating in the engaging discussion.

June marks my five-year anniversary at Blue Owl Capital. In that time, the firm has grown by adding new platforms, strategies and employees, and as Chief Legal Officer, I have truly enjoyed playing a part in these milestones. Our values of mutual respect, excellence, constructive dialogue and One Team have helped us get here. And did we have fun along the way? Absolutely! Thank you to my colleagues, partners and friends who have made the last five years so enriching. I look forward to more moments of celebration with all of you.

I'm in Chicago this week for the Women's Private Credit Summit, where I'll be speaking on a panel titled, "The Rise of Private BDCs: How It's Reshaping the Hunt for Dollars." The With Intelligence - Women's Summits provide great forums for connecting, knowledge sharing and networking with leading women in our industry. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

Eva Chen visited us last week to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month at Blue Owl Capital. Eva’s message of “relationships above all” really resonated with me. If you follow her on Instagram or have read her inclusive children’s books giving voice to Asian identity, her focus on authentic connection with others is evident and inspiring. “I Am Golden,” Eva’s latest book, was the book of the month at my children’s school and has meant so much to all of us! Eva, thank you for celebrating Asian identities with us at Blue Owl, and for reminding us all that representation matters.

It’s hard to believe it’s been three years since Blue Owl Capital went public on the NYSE! It’s incredible to look back and chart the firm’s growth since we first rang the bell in May 2021. As I’ve watched our AUM grow alongside our headcount, I’ve witnessed the staying power of our firm’s culture and principles. We’ve acquired firms like Oak Street to create our Real Estate platform, and are in the process of acquiring Kuvare Asset Management and Prima Capital to expand our strategies, asset base and overall capabilities. Having worked on these transactions through negotiations, diligence and integration, it’s been rewarding to see the leaders and staff from these firms transform from prospects into trusted colleagues and friends. With the robust experience we have here, we’re well-equipped to continue on this path. I’m very proud of all we’ve accomplished over the last three years, and am excited for all that’s to come alongside my partners Doug Ostrover, Marc Lipschultz, Alan Kirshenbaum, Andrew Polland, Karen Hager, Craig Packer, Marc Zahr, Michael Rees, Sean Ward and the rest of the Blue Owl team.

It’s great to see Blue Owl teammates participating in projects like this to make our community a better place. Proud to be part of team Blue Owl!
Our Blue Owl teammates put their green thumbs to work. Partnering with New York Restoration Project, our team laid the groundwork for the creation of a rain garden at Highbridge Park, which will filter highway runoff water before it reaches groundwater supply. Thanks to all employees for their part in creating a cleaner space for our local community! #BlueOwlLeadsTogether

“To change the game, you have to step up to the plate.” – Jackie Robinson I recently chaperoned my son’s 3rd grade field trip to the Jackie Robinson Museum in lower Manhattan. The museum was interactive, beautiful and, unsurprisingly, inspiring. I also have to note how talented and engaging the docents were with all of the kids. I highly recommend it – and not just for baseball fans! Jackie Robinson's legacy continues to resonate in 2024, 77 years after his debut season in the MLB. Our trip to the museum was a reminder to me to stand up for what I believe in, treat others the way I want to be treated in my personal and professional life…and importantly, be brave enough to play the game!
