“Today is a sad day for Indigenous Peoples and justice everywhere. The U.S. Parole Commission’s denial of parole for Leonard Peltier, America’s longest serving Indigenous political prisoner, is a travesty,” said Nick Tilsen, president and CEO of NDN Collective. “They denied parole to a survivor of genocidal Indian boarding schools as he struggles to survive this unjust incarceration, they insist on holding him for a crime for which they have no physical evidence against him.” ✊🏽 NDN Collective will continue to demand freedom for Leonard Peltier as his attorneys file an appeal of this decision and push for a grant of clemency from President Joe Biden. 📖 Read Full Press Release: ndnco.cc/lpprd 🔗 Link in Bio under "Read Latest Press Release" Do you want to take action and support the #FreeLeonardPeltier campaign? 🤳 Text “FreeLeonardNow’’ to 50302 to receive latest updates and join the movement. #FreeLeonardPeltier #NDNCollective

If there was not any physical evidence, then they convicted on circumstantial evidence. How can that be when that time was filled with chaos. A picture of an event can be painted and sold that is based on interpretation and bias. Any eye witness accounts aren't necessarily accurate. Three or four people can witness the same situation and give as many different accounts of it. I understand the need for justice for the death of the FBI agents, but is it justice when it's driven by revenge to make someone, anyone accountable. This type of "justice" is not new. Indigenous people, Black people and Caucasian people who don't fit into the perceived acceptable social levels have felt this justice. It is 2024 and justice as it should be, is still out of our grasp.

The Indigenous peoples of the US will become so illumined as to enlighten the whole world, said a wise man from the East named ‘Abdu’l-Baha.

Very sad indeed. The Government (FBI) are really making an example of Leonard Peltier, eventhough there were no witnesses to the shooting of the two agents.

So much for justice. That's terrible when they have no evidence to keep him there!
