These natural hot springs, known for their mineral-rich waters, are an excellent spot to relax and recharge. Spending a day here, soaking in the warm waters under the wide-open African sky, is a great way to break up the journey. Time seems to slow down, allowing one to fully absorb the natural beauty and the calming symphony of the surrounding wildlife. 🐘 Less than an hour from Warmwaterberg, the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, nestled in the Little Karoo and covering an area of 58,000 hectares, is a must-visit for any wildlife enthusiast. Here, you can spot the Big Five - lions, leopards, rhinoceros, elephants, and Cape buffaloes - in their natural habitat. I suggest booking a 2-day stay and going on a minimum of 4 drives to see all your favorites before leaving. One of the critical aspects that made this trip particularly memorable was having access to a private car. The freedom to explore at our own pace, to pause and appreciate the vistas, or to pursue the dreamland that Route 62 is, was made possible by an innovative service called peer-to-peer car sharing.
