And for Black women in particular, maternal mortality is exceptionally high. Over the weekend, the Mabel Morris Program threw a party to celebrate the families graduating from the program! The non-cost program, designed for Philadelphian children aged 5 or under, partners registered nurses with families to build 'toolboxes' of tools in growing school-ready, lifelong learners.
