Sometimes, we need to take a closer look at the school system to understand why our young boys often struggle to adapt. Boys are naturally energetic, curious, and hands-on learners. They thrive in environments where they can explore, move, and engage in active play. Research shows that their brains actually function better when their bodies are active. Traditional classroom settings often require prolonged periods of sitting still and focusing quietly, which can be particularly challenging for boys. It’s important to seek out schools that recognize and accommodate the unique learning styles of young boys. Schools that incorporate physical activity, interactive learning, and opportunities for exploration can make a significant difference in their educational experience. When such schools aren't an option, remember: there is nothing wrong with your boy. Understanding their needs and advocating for educational approaches that support their natural learning style can help them succeed and enjoy their educational journey. #raisingkids #parenthood #family #mumofboys #boys #raisingboys #sonhood #parentsofboys #parentingcoach #parentingadvice #raisingaboy #parenting #parentsupport #ChangeTheSystem #SupportOurBoys #InclusiveEducation #EarlyChildhoodEducation #LearningStyles

Early Childhood Educator | EYFS-tutor | Homeschool Aid | Montessori Teacher |. Crusader of play based and hands-on activities to foster learning in early childhood.
Dear Teacher, Did you know, making your teaching child centered creates room for RETENTION of lessons taught. It's sad to see some early childhood/early years teaching plan so voluminous with no child centered activities. No form of play. No creativity. No hands-on activities. A balanced teaching should and must have all the above stated and more. #midtermnuggets #teacherholiday #teachersoflinkedin #EYFS #Earlychildhood

In Early Childhood Education (ECE), granting oneself permission to be authentically and unapologetically genuine is paramount. Children are remarkably perceptive and intuitive, absorbing not only the explicit lessons taught but also the implicit messages conveyed through the educator's demeanor, actions, and expressions. By embracing one's true self, educators model authenticity, integrity, and self-acceptance, fostering an environment where children feel safe to explore and express their own identities and emotions. This permission to be 100% oneself cultivates trust, strengthens relationships, and encourages a sense of belonging and inclusivity within the learning community. Moreover, it nurtures resilience and empowers both educators and children to navigate challenges with courage, compassion, and authenticity, laying a foundation for lifelong growth and fulfillment. #LaughLearnPlay #BuildingBlocks #authenticity #ECE #homebasededucation #ECE #EarlyChildhoodEducation #AuthenticTeaching #BeYourself #ChildrensLearning #EducatorAuthenticity #ChildDevelopment #InclusiveEducation #TeacherEmpowerment #TeachingAuthentically #SelfAcceptance #GenuineLearning #EducatorGrowth #IdentityDevelopment #EmbraceYourself
