It’s an honor to be able to represent the great State of Maryland as chair of the Board of Architects at the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Annual Business Meeting in Chicago, alongside my fellow Board Members, including Kevin Sneed, FAIA, FIIDA and Paul D. Edmeades, RA, AIA, NCARB. The Meeting focused on topics such as the impacts and possible regulation of AI in architecture to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public; and how to increase access to the profession by continuing to lower artificial barriers to entry while maintaining standards and rigor.

I'm thrilled to announce that I've officially received my Architect's License in the State of Missouri! This is a huge milestone in my career and a reflection of the hard work and dedication I've put in over the years. After over 12 years working in the field, 7 years of formal studies, and 6 Architects Registration Exams, I'm excited to continue growing as an architect, contributing to the built environment and starting each day with a thirst for learning something new... This has been an amazing journey, and I am confident that many more new opportunities lie ahead. I am incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of my wife, Bhagyashree Sancheti. She has managed to juggle pursuing her PhD, working full-time, and, additional responsibility of caring for our 2.5-year-old at home so that I can focus on finishing my exams. This past year has been a rollercoaster, but it's ending on a sweet note. Thanks to my parents for their moral support. I personally want to thank Emily Howard, Renee Fronabarger, and Brian Ivy for the trust and guidance they have shown me at every step. I couldn't have done it without your support. Thank you to all the amazing teachers who have shared valuable lessons along the way. I also want to express my gratitude to the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) for their dedication to keeping our profession competitive and current. Last week I completed the ARE! ... For the last couple of years I've been convincing myself that life was "too busy" to find time to study for the Architect Registration Exams. Back in September I finally bit the bullet and scheduled an exam (and life immediately got even busier than I ever could have expected). Along the way I've had so much support and encouragement from colleagues, friends, and family - and I can't thank them enough! --> Now to get those last pesky AXP hours and get that license!
