1990 has gone, embrace the new working world.
Real organisational change, linked with creativity & innovation cannot be achieved remotely… there is a clear requirement for face to face collaboration. I like most do not see (nor want) a return to 5 days in the office, however if any large complex organisation believes they can deliver tangible change, at pace, without a balance of ‘in-office & remote working’, I would suggest they are limiting their greatest asset… ‘people’ and their ability to co-create.
Corporate leases were somehow left off the poll options. There are definte collaboration benefits especially in particular functions but it needs to be a more nuanced discussion
Our roles as technology leaders should be to enable people to work wherever is the most appropriate for the individual’s themselves and their choices. The rewards to companies is immeasurable in loyalty and productivity. Enable the employee and the rewards will be inevitable! Clearly some roles make it impossible in their nature but otherwise embrace flexibility
