Rather than immersing myself in extensive planning for new ideas, I now embrace a brief planning window. The focus is on diving into action with substantial momentum, unafraid to course-correct if things deviate from expectations. I advocate for setting micro-goals, choosing the path of least resistance, prioritizing excellence over perfection, and embracing a continuous learning mindset. Coined by the 33rd U.S. president, Harry Truman, the concept of "imperfect action" resonates profoundly. It offers a sustainable and realistic approach to achieving goals by starting exactly where you are, utilizing available resources in the moment. Imperfect action involves taking rapid, small, and occasionally messy steps consistently over time. Massive action has become my guiding principle. On the 11th of October, I was allowed to visit the FinTech company, M-DAQ Global. Here’s a glimpse of some key moments, 1️⃣ Unveiling FinTech: My journey began with diving into the FinTech industry through the lens of M-DAQ. An example is M-DAQ’s proprietary solution, Aladdin, designed to address cart abandonment by guaranteeing FX rates using multiple principles such as their algorithm, COM-PLAX™! 2️⃣ Insights of Experts: Something that resonated with me when engaging with the industry panellists is communication. Keeping different stakeholders and departments in sync manages expectations and boosts satisfaction levels for all! 3️⃣ Authentic and Collaborative: The M-DAQ office environment was also great. From productive stand-up meetings around a small table, first-class SIA cabin suite, and not to mention the warm hospitality that included homemade cooking, these show the authenticity and collaborative spirit of M-DAQ!  But what made this journey truly memorable was bridging the gap between classroom learning at Republic Polytechnic and the dynamic FinTech landscape. It's incredible to see theory come to life! I want to thank everyone involved for making this visit possible. I look forward to seeing everyone sometime again. The team is buzzing with enthusiasm as we unveil our latest project. Optimism is at an all-time high!     2. Planning: 🗺️ "Let’s create a roadmap that will definitely change." We set out with a detailed plan, fully aware it will need multiple adjustments along the way. Flexibility is key!     3. Implementation: 🏗️ "Why isn’t this working like in the demo?" Reality hits as we start building. What worked perfectly in the demo suddenly has a mind of its own.     4. Testing: 🔍 "Fix one bug, create three more." The debugging phase feels like playing whack-a-mole. Each fix seems to spawn new challenges.    5. Launch: 🚀 "Hold your breath, here we go!" The big day arrives. We cross our fingers, launch, and watch our hard work come to life. The excitement is palpable!     6. Post-Launch: 🎆 "Celebrate the success… and start planning the next change." We're excited to share some highlights from one of our leading capital markets events, as we've just wrapped up an incredible week at InvestOps USA 2024 in sunny Orlando! ☀️ It was a fantastic opportunity for leaders from across the investment operations industry to connect, all while soaking up the sunshine. The event kicked off with close to 400 Buy Side participants joining us at our Buy Side Innovation Day, which was concluded by a buzzing drinks reception sponsored by Citi & FundGuard, setting the tone for the few days of insightful discussions and valuable networking. Northern Trust also kept the energy high with their end-of-Day 1 drinks!
