In 9 days I will be leaving dentsu. Over the past 2 years I have had some amazing opportunities within my career → that honestly, I will always be grateful for. 
Dentsu has been an amazing organisation for me to grow, develop & exercise my skills in the corporate field. Amongst all of the great people & connections I’ve made, I’m exceptionally proud of the following things: → finding my niche within the Gen Z engagement space, by identifying a common problem within the workforce & steering an effective solution that actually works → mobilising a national Gen Z community by providing Gen Z employees with an opportunity to engage & connect further with their employer, to build stronger affinity which increase retention as a result → training senior leaders on best practices to get the best out of early careers talent to help the organisation innovate by connecting & understanding with the needs Gen Z talent I’m exceptionally proud of my commitment to increase the affinity between this orgnanisation & its Gen Z employees. What’s next? ↳ The next chapter in my career will allow me take my commitment for Gen Z engagement to the next level. Time flies, it has been a year in dentsu for me. While tomorrow marks the official end of my rotation in Media Investment, it will also be my first day to start in the Strategic and Planning team. The past 6 months of working with the new biz team in Investment has been amazing. Taking on responsibility of day to day effectiveness and efficiency tracking, with the opportunities to participate in various pitch pricing exercises. As fun as it seems, I am embracing the chance of making mistakes during the process, and learn from them while having a great team to guide and help me. One year of working experience changed my perception on a lot of things, especially on how to balance your work and life, but at the same time, be who you are. Realizing these answers will not come in one night, I guess I need to stay calm and patience, however the eager of wanting to solve those are still there, ughhh. Thinking about the next six months, it will be an absolutely fun opportunity, as I’m able to see a bigger picture of what we do by heading into strategy. Same as before, wish myself a “stay motivated” and keep going!

Joining GroupM was more than a career move. It was a step towards a vision of growth and learning. Right from the beginning, I was determined to work harder and smarter, aiming to achieve things that hadn't been done before. Embarking on the goal to automate an entire department was a massive challenge, but then I found a team (Faiq Ehsan, Shahmurad Chandeo, Arbaz Ahmed Shah) that became like family. They didn't just support my goal; they made it their own. Together, we brought to life 'PROJECT PHOENIX,' and now it's a reality owned and initiated by GroupM Pakistan. A simple 'Thank You' doesn't feel sufficient, but Amna Khatib- Paracha , thank you immensely for trusting me and boosting our confidence. You never let me feel like a newcomer to the team or the company. Team Data (Karim Ali Hassan khan), your talent, efforts and commitment made it possible and without a doubt we will do such ideas again. Jehangir Raza Husain and Salman Yahya, we DID it. You fostered an environment where problems seemed smaller, and challenges felt achievable. What truly amazed me was how people from around the world joined in, offering guidance and support without expecting anything in return. Lois Spark, Arjan Roijen and Julia Rast your unwavering support and selflessness have propelled us to achieve this. Lois Spark, having a mentor like you is a blessing. Special thanks to the Xaxis Mentoring Program. Usually, people write posts like this when they're leaving, but I'm sharing it right at the beginning of my journey. I am thrilled to share that as I celebrate 12 incredible years at Mindshare SG, my journey continues with a new chapter as I step into the role of Business Director. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented people in the industry, dedicated to delivering stellar work that they truly believe in; and having their contributions recognised by their clients and peers, alike. As I reflect on the past 12 years, I am grateful for the many opportunities to grow, and challenges that have strengthened my perspectives. And of course, the unwavering support of our Content+ team. This new chapter is not just a personal achievement for me, but a testament of the collaborative spirit and culture for innovation, here at Mindshare. Inspired by the many bosses I have encountered, over the years. To my ex-bosses, you might not have known this, but your impact is still felt: - Chen Sands - I came in bright-eyed and all keen to pioneer social media back then in 2012, and you welcomed me warmly into the team. - Christopher Smith - still one of my main go-to creative inspirations, where I recall the team always saying "do as Chris does". Your belief in me back then to helm SilkAir's pitch, gave me the courage to lead. - Jakeena Malli - one of the most brilliant innovators, I learnt to think and act quick on my feet; and of course that awesomely hectic HK disneyland work Trip together. #workisfun - Roxanne Vure - your wit and sardonic humour always made serious client situations, a little less intense. And those ramen/ dim sum meals...unforgettable - Laura D'Ambrosio - a sharp-shooting lead who practises agility in real-time, you have led the team by example- fleeting through projects and managing workloads. Why am I (still) working at a creative ad agency after 15 years? Because it motivates me working with people with a very different set of skills - yet all both extremely talented and good people. And it motivates me that everyday is about helping other great people with their brand and business challenges. So, when Accenture Song got ranked Denmark’s second-best agency among 26 advertising agencies in MyImage today, I felt proud and motivated. And despite a radical name change and the fact that only half of the 1.000+ marketing respondents know about us, we managed to hit a top5 position across ALL 9 image parameters amongst the ones that do: - Great client business understanding - Great digital competencies - Flexible & agile - Great at analysing & applying data - Great at integrated communication - Great at delivering results - Great strategically - Great creatively - Great at consumer insights That takes a team of VERY different and VERY talented people (which I can confirm are also good people) 💜 A huge thanks to our clients, collaborators and competitors that continue to push the bar for great work. Because when is work good enough? To me it is when it makes me proud.

Mindshare India has recently announced the appointment of Dimpy Yadav as its Head of Strategy – Digital. A balanced perspective from "GMan", a veteran of the WPP system and part of the birth and amalgamation of several agencies over the years. (and my one-time boss at Mindshare South Asia). It's true that the people working on the brand and the value they bring are what matter to most clients. But it's probably the name on the door (of the agency) and its credentials that brings in the clients to start with. While VML is made up of long-time stalwarts and leading agencies of WPP, the new amalgam that it is (and we all know the churn and disruption that happens post any merger) will take time to establish itself in the minds of clients (not working with the network currently). And may get them to consider other standalone, non-network options too. Time will tell how this pans out for WPP, its investors, the new agency and its people, and more importantly for clients. I recently had the privilege of delivering a session on creating effective social media content and integrating it with Publicis Sapient objectives, and it's been a truly reflective experience for me. 🌸 It's incredible how what started as my passion for content creation and majorly because I wanted people to focus on little joys in life amidst our chaotic lives, both professionally and personally, has come full circle. 🌻 Sharing insights on social media content creation wasn't just about the tips and tricks; it was about sharing a piece of myself, my journey, and what I've learned along the way. It's about being authentic and genuinely finding your true passion and working towards it. 🌟 As I stood there, sharing my experiences and knowledge, I couldn't help but feel a sense of confidence in what I was saying. How Do Gen Z’s Stay Engaged At dentsu? LinkedIn🙌🏾 🔹 Last week I ran another Gen Z workshop at dentsu - for the VIZ community. 🔹 The VIZ’s is a Gen Z internal community that engages Gen Z employees & keeps them sticky within the company 🔹 I took it up North! I went to our Leeds office last week to really touch base with our Gen Z colleagues & gave them the opportunity to be apart of the amazing initiative I get to lead here at dentsu 🔹 As mentioned in a previous post, 65% of Gen Z’s are considering leaving their job this year! crazy.. I know 🤯 🔹Safe to say that the work i’m doing here is a solution to prevent this stat coming into fruition here at dentsu 🔹 Gen Z’s crave experiences at work.. something different from the typical life of a ‘9-5er’ 🔹 This time last year the community had around 9 members.. fast forward 12 months we have 150 🤯 It’s safe to say dentsu Gen Z’s are looking for an experience.. so it’s only right that we give it to them! 🔹Across this year we’ve done so much to engage Gen Z through this community, offering workshops, panel sessions, focus groups.. even roller-skating!! My four years enriching journey with #Publicis India is ending today, 7th August 2023. I am deeply grateful for the invaluable discussions, collaborations, and shared efforts I have experienced here. With such an exceptional leadership at the helm, I have no doubt that #publicisgroupe is set for phenomenal growth. Here, I'd like to share some core beliefs that were nurtured and strengthened during my time at Publicis: 1. Challenges are not the end of the world. Even if a project stumbles at the initial stage, or if a client seems dissatisfied, there is always room for hope and improvement. 2. Data may be the new oil but Insights will remain The Turbo. Understanding data in its entirety from a 360-degree perspective is crucial before deriving insights. Practicality often takes precedence over mere numbers. 3. Honesty and hard work are your shields. Not everyone may align with your work style, and that's perfectly okay. You don't need to be universally loved like 'Tandoori Parantha'. 4. Your expertise can outweigh personal dislikes. Some clients (both internal/external) may not favor you personally, but they will always value your professional prowess. 5. Strive for daily improvement in your work. However, ensure your skills and efforts are duly acknowledged and never undervalued. 6. Personal satisfaction in your work should always be the priority. Career growth, while important, is secondary. 7. Maintain a clear distinction between personal and professional life.
