An elephant and a dog became pregnant at the same time. Three months down the line the dog gave birth to 6 puppies. Six months later, the dog was pregnant once again. And a few months down the line, gave birth to another half a dozen puppies. The pattern continued... On her third pregnancy, the dog approached the elephant questioning, "are you sure that you are pregnant? We became pregnant on the same date. I have given birth two times for a dozen puppies and they are now grown to become big dogs. Yet you are still pregnant. What's going on?" The elephant with utmost wisdom replied, "there is something I want you to understand. What I'm carrying is not a puppy but a baby elephant. I only give birth to one in two years. When my baby hits the ground, the earth feels it. When it's grown up and walks down the forest crossing manmade roads, human beings stop and watch in admiration. What I carry draws attention. So, what I'm carrying is mighty and great! Moral: Don't lose faith when you see others receive answers to their prayers. If you haven't received your own blessings yet, don't despair. Say to yourself, "Apna time aayega(My time will come, too!)". When it hits the surface, people shall yield in admiration. Patience is a virtue. Continuing with our START series. Today I am going to focus on the lack of support. The notion that no man is an island is very accurate, BUT every idea comes and starts with one person, its expansion might require people thus supporting the notion that no man is an island. Let me put it another way, no matter how supportive a husband might be, he can not help his wife by carrying a pregnancy to term. She will carry that foetus and birth it alone. He might hold her hand during labour, her mother might be there stroking her hair, the midwife telling her when to push and encouraging her but ultimately everything that child needed was from the mother and the push into the world would be the woman. Some of you critical minds might say what about in a C-section, well the success of a C-section largely depends on the mothers health . My point is, don’t let the lack of support from people you expect prevent you from birthing a dream. Don’t become too caught up on who should have, would have been there.
