Back in 2021, I graduated from Strayer University earning my BA in Business Administration with/ a concentration in Contracts and Acquisitions. The keynote speaker at my graduation was Sophia A. Nelson, Esq. She mentioned how we all have two lives; the one we learn with and the one we live with. She gave us the following 10 principles to guide us as we begin to live our second life: 1. **Know your value 2. Be accountable 3. Be consistent 4. Know your capacity 5. **Don’t cut what you can untie (Don’t burn your bridges) 6. Be flexible 7. Focus 8. **Lift others as you climb 9. Be resilient 10. Communicate 11. **Know your front row 12. **Get you some Mark 2 friends (read Mark 2: 1-12 to understand the significance of this). I wrote these principles down and made sure to keep them safely tucked away where I could find them when I needed them which is more often than not in my second life. ❤️
