I'm thrilled to share one of our latest and most heartwarming projects – a DIY Kid's Playhouse with complete building plans and a buying list. This project is more than just a set of instructions; it's our way to give our products a "voice" of the amazing builds you can create with them to build memories. As marketers, our heads are always full of ideas, sometimes we can describe in an abstract way what we envision and we need someone who can land those ideas into tangible and engaging projects. I want to give a shout-out to Steve Sherba of 837 Design and Mat from Made Digital Imagery, I can always count on them to bring my ideas to life! This project isn't just about providing a product; it's about fostering imagination, creativity, and family bonding. EQUITY is prevention. An equitable distribution of opportunity must permeate our relationships, our resources, our power structures and systems. Because of structural racism and economic exclusion, children and families of color are more likely to be impacted by poverty and thus come to the attention of the child welfare system for child maltreatment. WE GRANITE STATERS have a tremendous opportunity to build positive trajectories for future generations of children and families. Creating an aligned and comprehensive primary prevention ecosystem across New Hampshire means addressing inequity and injustice allowing us to support safe, stable, and nurturing environments. What Care Means The provision of what is necessary for the health, welfare, maintenance, and protection of someone or something Serious attention or consideration applied to doing something correctly or to avoid damage or risk There is no consideration for Care in this school. A place where a child should feel safe, heard, supported and educated. A 'specialist school' Representation of organisational abuse. I quite literally have no words. I have worked with individuals with extremely complex needs, have I left frustrated some days? Absolutely Have I sometimes had to remove myself to prevent being reactive Absolutely - because i am human. I have always given every part of me whilst working in care, but nobody can always perform at 100% - HOWEVER I can honestly say hand on my heart, I have never ' mocked' any person I have supported. I have never laughed at a person mocking an individual. I have never used the words ' Dweeb, Flid, thicko' towards an individual who is accessing support. Individuals accessing these ' specialist services' more often than not have fought for an EHCP, fought for these placements- for what? To now have trauma? lack of confidence? anxiety? depression ? Self- harm? It really is as simple as If you cant ' Care' for a person. DON'T These individuals within these settings rely on Health, social care and educational services. They rely on you getting it right with them to provide them with stability, support, safety and care. It will be interesting to see what lessons have been learnt here and how this drives regulation moving forward to reduce this continuously happening ?
