Experienced Public Leader & Project Manager || Sustainability Expert in Solar Installation and Carbon Accounting || Strategic Decision-Making Expert || Business Specialist with Precision and Detail orientation.
I'm glad to be a part of this cohort. Its was intense, and a game changer. I'm now better informed on the processes of leading with integrity and making strategic decisions that may have dire consequences. 🎯Talking about decision making, I particularly took note of a word I heard for the first time and which was dissected by the crew from Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. That word is Mediating Assessment Protocol, (MAP): Protocols that signal if the decision is tending towards the right direction and expected impact. 👊Hmmm, sounds great right!!!! 🎯There was a whole lot of learning curves which has further shaped my mind and approach to doings things. 👏All thanks to Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation who has given me the platform to sail my ship with intelligible knowledge. 🎯Have you found yourself at cross roads on account of making the best decision? Please share snippets of such tough decisions in the comment section, you might just get the direction to place your rudder for easy sail. #leadership #decisionmakers #publicpolicy #unitednations #bestpractices #leadershipjobs #unicef #worldbank
It is inspiring to see the members of the third cohort of the AIG Public Leaders Programme (PLP) learn, engage, and share their key learnings with such enthusiasm. We are confident that, following this world-class executive education experience, these 68 African public sector leaders will go on to drive change, just like the alumni before them. #2023AIGPLP #Publicsectorreform #AigImoukhuedeFoundation #CapacityBuilding #ClosingthegapbetweenAfricaandtheWorld

In the spirit of recognizing Black History Month here are some facts about blacks or people of African descent in the Caribbean and Latin America. Approximately 130 million people in Latin America are of African descent with Brazil and Colombia being the top two countries with the most African descendants. In the Caribbean, Haiti, DR and Jamaica are the top three countries with the most African descendants. The culture of Africa brought by Africans in the Trans-Atlantic former slave trade has influenced various parts of Latin America. Influences are particularly strong in dance, music, cuisine, and some syncretic religions of Cuba, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Northwest Ecuador, coastal Colombia, and Nicaragua. Caribbean food is unique by island and influenced by Europe, India, Africa and Asia. The Africa and African diaspora influence is prevalent as African traditions have been passed down to the over 40 million descendants that live in the Caribbean. About 5 million African slaves were taken to the Caribbean. Our history is diverse and as beautiful as our people, the music, the food and the culture. #blackhistory #caribbean #latinamerica It is my hope that LA&CCA can continue to increase diversity, equity and inclusion amongst our people in the region. This is one such effort to do so. God willing, much more will come.
The deadline is approaching fast: February 2, 2024 Two full scholarships are available for the program's first iteration, starting March 4. We aim to empower experienced leaders from Latin America and the Caribbean to develop effective strategies in our dynamic world. Please send your applications to: Marta.Scholfield@sbs.ox.ac.uk
