Construction Growth In United Arab Emirates In 2024, the UAE's construction sector presents an arena of growth, innovation, and strategic diversification, poised to redefine the nation's economic landscape. As we navigate through the dynamics of this sector, we uncover insights into the UAE's pursuit of sustainable development, smart urban planning, and global investment attraction, setting the stage for a future rich in opportunity and prosperity. Projects in rail, road, energy, and water infrastructure, highlighted by the ambitious AED18 billion "blue line" Metro project in Dubai and the Etihad Rail passenger train, promise to enhance urban mobility and real estate opportunities. The sector's commitment to sustainability is underscored by initiatives to increase electric vehicle (EV) usage, with plans for widespread EV charging stations. Despite facing cost hikes, the sector's growth trajectory is supported by record-breaking real estate transactions and investments, with a forecast of continued expansion fueled by the tourism, retail, and industrial construction sectors. This balanced growth across various construction categories underscores the UAE's strategic approach to diversifying its economy and enhancing its infrastructure quality. These elements combine to create a fertile ground for both domestic and international investors, promising a vibrant future for the construction sector in the UAE.

Jan, impressing numbers and also pictures of the 'not so far away' future that you paint in my mind! We can recap: There is will, capacity and a plan to bring that #Vision2030 into reality in #KSA. And along the timeline since #Vision2030 initiation, some parts of the agenda have already been delivered, many others are work in progress. 1.25 trillion USD - that's the headline figure for me! In a post yesterday I promised to follow up today with more information around the Vision 2030 progress in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is reason for optimism. Knight Frank said in its Construction Landscape Review—H1 2024 report that since the introduction of Vision 2030 in 2016, Saudi Arabia has launched projects worth more than 1.25 trillion USD. It also mentioned that the construction output was 142 billion USD last year, and is expected to hit 182 billion USD in 2028, which would then make it the world's largest construction market. When you drive around Riyadh, and see all the cranes up (e.g. Diriyah Company l شركة الدرعية or King Salman Park Foundation or Riyadh Expo 2030), this is easy to believe! #ksabusiness #construction #vision2030 https://lnkd.in/eXVwsHPW
Saudi Arabia’s construction output value to hit $181.5bn by 2028, Knight Frank says

Senior Architect, Technical Manager & Design Manager @ Al Fouzan Contracting | Team Management, Design Review
ℹ Saudi Arabia is undergoing an unprecedented architectural revolution, blending visionary designs with cultural heritage and sustainability. The Kingdom's commitment to innovation is epitomized by projects like NEOM, a futuristic city that promises to redefine urban living with its cutting-edge technology and environmental consciousness. 💡 One of the most fascinating aspects of working in Saudi Arabia is the integration of traditional elements with modern design. For example, the incorporation of Mashrabiya screens in contemporary buildings not only pays homage to the region's rich history but also enhances energy efficiency by providing natural cooling. ♉ Moreover, the Kingdom's ambitious Vision 2030 plan aims to diversify the economy and reduce its dependence on oil by investing heavily in tourism and infrastructure. The Red Sea Project is a testament to this vision, aiming to create a luxury tourism destination while preserving the natural environment. As we continue to push the boundaries of architectural innovation, I am excited about the opportunities to create spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also sustainable and culturally significant. The fusion of advanced construction techniques with Saudi Arabia's unique cultural landscape offers endless possibilities for architects and builders alike. NEOM Construction Company Saudi Oger Ltd.
