At Mundipharma, development and the ability to show up to work as one’s true self are critical to any impactful colleague experience. With this in mind, we redesigned our performance management programme for 2024 and last week held our first Development Week event, where we were delighted with the success and positive feedback from our colleagues across the globe. We hosted live events with our Executive Committee in Cambridge, which were streamed to other local offices, as well as leadership chats onsite to hear from colleagues who have recently taken part in our exciting talent programmes. I had a blast yesterday at the The Health & Safety Event with Evotix and it was a real privilege to join in on a panel discussion with this amazing bunch of professionals. We discussed the challenges and benefits of leadership and engagement within health and safety and shared some of the strategies and approaches we have used throughout our careers as health and safety professionals to help drive engagement and elevate safety within organisations. Here's some of my key takeaways from the discussion 👇 ➡ Engagement needs to flow upwards. Shift your focus from the front line to senior leadership for more impactful and wider reaching engagement. ➡ Think of engagement as the output of an activity rather than the activity. It's about how committed your people are to supporting your objectives. ➡ Meet people where they are to really understand their needs and challenges and generate buy-in across the organisation. ➡ Think bigger than safety.
