Muhammad Shahzad’s Post

It has taken me several days to come to terms with the euphoria of witnessing our first rocket launch. I joined Relativity Space almost 3 years ago, and I couldn’t have imagined working with such a brilliant, humble, and mission-driven team. There are no words to express my emotions as I watched the incredible work of hundreds of people, current and former employees, come together in a single moment. We launched Terran 1 to prove that 3D printing rockets works. We are the first LOx-Methane rocket to reach space in the West. Our launch operation was smooth as can be, and the rocket got all the way to stage separation, including well past the point of maximum dynamic pressure. The blue and orange plume was absolutely spectacular in the night sky — something the world had never seen before. We are now one of the few companies (and a select few countries) on the planet that can say it: we’ve launched! This is a big inflection point, but it is only a single moment in time. We have a lot of hard work in front of us. We will soon reveal much more about Terran R, our much larger, reusable rocket. The market is demanding larger rockets, and our customers, existing and prospective, continue to be excited about the journey to Terran R. I also want to acknowledge all the local, state, and US government support we have gotten over the years and continue to get from NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration and several divisions of the United States Department of Defense. And, of course, we wouldn’t be here without the unwavering commitment of our world-class investor base, so thank you to all those that have believed in us. Thank you, Tim Ellis, for letting me join you on this opportunity of a lifetime! Photo Credits: John Kraus and Trevor Mahlmann #relativityspace #rockets #space #glhf

It's not often that a product launch involves an actual rocket. 😜 Amazing photos Muhammad Shahzad! Keep doing big things.

Incredible work Muhammad Shahzad and Mark Seidel, CFA - rockets need a lot of capital and you both have been a huge part of telling that story to the world. Keep it up and you will be a part of changing humanity!
