It's 7 pm on Monday and Amaka drags herself out of her car into her duplex apartment.
She opens the door and dunks on her twin sofa.
She is exhausted and sleepy just like every other Monday.😪
As a CEO, the end of the month is like the start of a new company.
Monthly goals have to be achieved at the very least while setting the pace for the new month. 💯
She managed to get to her fridge, to get a bottle of water as she drank, she walked back to the twin sofa.
She dropped the bottle on the side table to take off her shoes.
When she took them off.
Something hit her nose. That smell 😭
soo warm yet discomforting and choking, 🤌😭
she threw her shoes on the floor and took off her ankle socks 🫤
She tried to perceive her socks, but the moment it came to her nose she squeezed her face in horror.🥲
The reaction you make when you lick lime, especially when it seems to tickle the brain. 🤌 😭 😂
It didn't take long before Amaka had to open all the windows, turn on the fans and use some room spray. 😭
The room was smelling bad, 🫤 it was at this time, that Amaka called me, and I spoke to her.
The reason you take off your shoes and it smells soo bad is because of the bacteria called Bromodosis.
This bacteria thrives in the soft moist area; sweat, which your socks and shoes provide.
Sweat doesn't smell, but the bacteria that thrive on it do.
To prevent Bromodosis and be able to take off your shoes and socks whenever you want,
Here are a few things you can do.
🎉 Wash your feet properly; Don't just rub your legs with soap and water, wash in between your toes, as that is a breeding spot for bacteria.
🎉 Ensure to dry your feet thoroughly before wearing your socks.
🎉 Keep your toenails trimmed, short, and clean.
🎉 Powder your feet before putting on your socks.
🎉 Wear sandals and open-toe footwear as much as possible.
🎉 Wear a clean pair of socks and change them at most twice daily.
🎉 Whenever you remove your shoes, keep them out to air them.
If smelly feet persist for a long time,
You can see a Podiatrist for medical attention.
