There is so much untapped media value inside the US retail store. A channel proven to improve the shopper experience through 'ease' and 'inspiration' prompts. Not to mention the emerging - yet some might say obvious - insight that instore media can generate long-term brand benefits as well as short-term sales. (..afterall it is essentially billboards with tills next to them, advertising products the consumer is in the market for - in that exact moment). So says Mike Weber 🛒 CMO, Upshop who outlines exactly why 👇 I got a chance to sit down with Mike at NRF last month, and he outlined three ways grocery tech is essential for retailers to build their brand with customers, and frontline employees. What I love about how Mike constructs his message is that he ladders it all up to one, salient benefit — building trust in retailers brands. Then he clarifies it and expresses it through three punchy, easy to remember points that establish credibility with his audience, retailers. Here are Mike’s three major messages to retailers about how Upshop can help them build trust in their brand while delivering significant operational efficiencies: 1. Digitize fresh 🍃 Fresh and prepared complicated model. Retailers can’t lose money but need to grow it to drive margin 2. Optimize Inventory and ordering 🛒 Retailers need to optimize across the entire store, not just center store. Especially via fresh ingredients, perishables and DSD 3.
