While some call it a renovation, one leader connected to the Duke Energy Convention Center is calling it a reinvention of the southwest corner in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Having completed the design development phase, we’re excited to report the project is scheduled to break ground in July 2024, targeting a completion date in late 2025. Although the $200 million renovation will add 13,000 square feet of exhibition space, the goal is to “enhance the customer experience, the building’s efficiency, and the aesthetic appeal of both the interior and exterior.” “The priority of that pavilion will be to serve conventions. Located in the heart of the Midwest, the center will eventually include an 800-room hotel connected to it, all designed to increase tourism and serve as a boost to the local economy.
