You know what I love about this video. You BELIEVE him.. His smile, the way he explains the process and the opportunity but in such an organic way that it's authentic. That's why the brand survived and thrived. It feels and is honest. No filters. Just a man talking about his journey. Really cool. Plus the humility.. I found it really inspiring. I've now watched this a dozen times because Mr Schwab's smile at the end of this video makes you want to know more. Why???? because he said it. It was fun. Building something of value. True value is not about assets or scaling that we hear so much about, but it's about engaging in something you are having fun and passionate about. Think about this video when you are building your company. You might learn something about authenticity, integrity and having a good time. Let go and live. Why not.

Some are comparing recent activity in companies like #nvda to the tech bubble of 24 years ago. While their may be some similarities, their are also many differences. I was already in the wealth management industry during that time period, remember it well and am a better investor from the experience gained. At #marnoaprivatewealth we believe in letting our winners run, but not run away. We are fortunate to be direct shareholders and benefiting from the performance of companies like #nvda but a prudent investor will always remember risk management is an important part of investing. Sometimes I wonder -- What would happen to all investors/shareholders and all management levels if all ICs in all tech companies one day just get up and say "Goodbye" :) What, I like to imagine things! And that kind of experiment will also clearly demonstrate who creates real "value/wealth" :) P.S For a bit of vague demonstration, one can also look for the company performance where ICs aren't that great, or are great but just for experiment's sake, not performing best :)

Are highly structured rounds making a come back? It does not look like it. There was the assumption that founders, in order to protect themselves against a down-round, will be giving up governance and economic rights to investors. Often called predatory term-sheets where investors squeeze founders because they have the leverage top do so. This was the case in 2000 during the dot-com crash. However, this time around, investors and founders, even in emerging markets, are still focussing on valuations and business models. What really matters.
