This #InternationalWomensDay, we're calling on philanthropy to #InvestInWomen by creating spaces where adolescent girls and young women of color can learn, play, dream, and become powerful movement leaders. Tides Foundation's Advancing Girls Fund powers grantmaking for girls and young women of color and their allies. We all know that what gets measured get’s done, right? The impact of philanthropic donations is not always clear. Well, I attended the launch this week at Minter Ellison of a survey which would be fascinating for many of our clients. Australians Investing In Women (AIIW) in partnership with the Champions of Change Coalition brought us a presentation by Garreth Chandler of the findings from AIIW’s inaugural State of Gender-wise Giving Survey 2023. The survey explores the consideration of gender in giving by the AFR’s Top 50 corporate and private philanthropists. The results were very interesting and if you care what impact your money is having on girls and women. I encourage you to get in get in touch with Australians Investing In Women info@aiiw.org.au. They are sending benchmarking to those who contributed to the survey so that they can know and improve the impact of their giving. I strongly suggest you get involved in the next survey if you can.
