While generally safe, too many people experience unintended physical and psychological harms – including those caused by culturally unsafe care – across the health system. Change is needed because safer care is always a goal, but the focus may have shifted from patient safety during the pandemic. Organized by Healthcare Excellence Canada, Canadian Patient Safety Week (CPSW) is an annual campaign to inspire extraordinary improvements in healthcare safety and quality. Check out the toolkit containing resources and content you can use to reach and engage with those involved in giving or receiving care in your organization, network or community. https://bit.ly/3QtnZYZ #healthcare #safety

Where care meets comfort: Macie Medical–Your health, our priority. At Macie Medical, we believe that everyone deserves to feel comfortable and respected during their doctor visit. That's why we go above and beyond to create a welcoming and supportive environment for our patients. Here are just a few ways we make our patients feel comfortable: 1. We take the time to get to know you. We understand that every patient is different, and we take the time to listen to your concerns and build a rapport with you. 2. We explain everything in plain language. We know that medical jargon can be confusing, so we take the time to explain everything in a way that you can understand. 3. We offer a variety of appointment options. We know that busy schedules can make it difficult to get to the doctor, so we offer a variety of appointment times and locations to fit your needs. 4. We provide a comfortable and relaxing environment. Our waiting area is equipped with comfortable seating, and the overall ambience is sure to elevate your mood. 5. We respect your privacy and confidentiality. We understand that your health information is personal, and we take steps to protect your privacy at all times. We believe that a comfortable patient is a more informed patient. When you feel comfortable and respected, you are more likely to ask questions and share information with your doctor. This can lead to better decision-making and better health outcomes. Schedule your appointment today and experience the difference. We are your trusted health ally. #Maciemedical #katytexas #primarycarehouston #doctorsoffice #fluseason

Delving into the world of hospitals over the past 8 years has reinforced a crucial insight – the immense importance of exceptional #customerservice within #healthcare settings. 🏥 Every patient's journey is unique, and their first interaction sets the tone for their experience. A small gesture, like a warm and empathetic greeting upon entry, can create a profound impact. I vividly recall a moment when a simple "How do you feel today?" led to a patient sharing their medical history, highlighting the need for a patient-centered approach. Patients visit hospitals not willingly and with great hope to hear good news, that’s why they need more empathy. They enter with hopes, but often face uncertainty. A simple greeting with genuine care can make a huge difference. Time is limited, yet empathy isn’t. Let’s start with a warm welcome, showing we understand their journey. #HealthcareCustomerService #PatientCenteredCare #EmpathyInHospitals #EmpathyInHealthcare
