The project is in collaboration with industry partner Mobile Power and aims to develop batteries for residential, small business, generator replacement, and e-mobility markets in Africa. 🧪 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 The project involves performance testing of various SIBs. Researchers will replace LIB cells with SIB cells in 4-cell battery rental packs, designed and produced by Mobile Power. 🎯 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬 1.      Assess the feasibility of using commercially available SIBs in diverse applications. 2.      Conduct real-world evaluations to determine the performance and efficiency of sodium-ion batteries in various use cases. 3.      Explore the potential deployment of more efficient SIB-based products in Africa's battery rental market. #EnergyStorage #CleanEnergy #BatteryResearch
