PSA: Big fan of #AI over here. I think the pros far outweigh the cons when it comes to #advertising & #marketing. PSA 2: #OOH needs the human touch. It needs the person behind the machine. The anecdotal experience. The market expertise. The relationships. You truly need the industry expert. Ad tech has revolutionized so much in the world of OOH. Faster RFPing, audience-based planning, measurable solutions. Blending data driven insights with strategy. You cannot deny the importance of ad tech - and AI. Ultimately at the end of the day - if you don’t have someone who truly knows the channel behind that ad tech you’re doing yourself a disservice. You’re hurting your brand. You’re jeopardizing your campaign. You’re ending up with a poorly devised go to market strategy. Your brand will end up on a billboard behind a tree because it indexed highest vs your core demo - and that’s what ad tech told you to buy. There’s an episode of The Office where Michael Scott is so reliant on GPS that he ONLY listens to the navigation system while driving to a meeting. Ultimately he ends up driving into a lake because GPS sent him that way. When you’re looking at OOH as a channel - don’t be blinded by buzzwords, ad tech or automation. Find your expert first. Make sure they have the right tools second. Go from there. PSA 3: When spending in the channel ask about true OOH experience. There's a ton of great specialists out there.
