Baby, you're a firework! 🎆 Our tiniest new arrivals at Mission Hospital were decked out in star-spangled style! Our neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) team, WNC Family Support Network hosts, and families all celebrated their little ones' first Independence Day in their best red, white, and blue outfits - graciously donated by Preemies of the Carolinas. These teams go above and beyond to make sure the festivities are always brought to those who can't yet leave the hospital. We thank them for their unwavering commitment to exceptional care and celebrating these special moments. ❤💙 To learn more about our region's only Level III NICU, visit https://lnkd.in/gQq74v6x #4thOfJuly #PatrioticPreemies #CareLikeFamily

Earlier this month, a team of Mission Health Trailblaze Troopers set off at 4:00 a.m. for a one-day, 28.3 mile hike challenge with Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina! And to ensure their safety, our Mission Sports Medicine team also participated as part of the Medic Teams at rest stations and along the trail. 💫 Mission Health is proud to sponsor the Trailblaze Challenge – the ultimate fundraising endurance event on the Foothills Trail, raising $395,000 to help grant wishes to critically ill children in our region. These three incredible colleagues completed the challenge, and two more are set to hike in October. Thank you to Francis, Laurie, and Bob, for your generosity in bringing awareness to this worthy cause – and best of luck to Kelley and Annie this fall! 👟🍂 For more information on our community impact, visit: https://lnkd.in/gS2tQMwy #HealthierTomorrows #RaiseTheBar #CommunityImpact

👶🧷 Our Physician Services leadership team had the opportunity to make a small impact by supporting Western North Carolina's only diaper bank, Babies Need Bottoms this week by volunteering and also making a donation of nearly 1,200 diapers and wipes. We learned that nearly 1 in 2 families struggle to afford enough diapers to keep their children clean, dry and healthy. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to learn more about the need in our community and support the families of WNC.
