You’re in a job interview and it’s going well. You can tell the interview is just about over and you want to make sure you continue to impress the interviewer. Here are three questions you might want to ask. “What’s the biggest challenge facing your department/the company right now?” This question lets you respond with a skill/attribute you possess that can help the company/hiring manager meet that challenge. “What skills/attributes does the ideal candidate for the job have?” Again, you can then discuss how your unique experience/attributes fit the ones the interviewer mentions. “What are the most challenging aspects of this job?” Answer with how you solved/met one or more challenges that are similar at your previous job/jobs. The point is to show that you understand that the company/hiring manager has goals to meet/challenges to overcome and that you have the background/skills to help them do so. #JobInterviewTips #JobSearchAdvice #TeamDebbies

An interview is not a one-way thing. It is your chance to evaluate if you could see yourself working for a certain employer. Questions from candidates are not only expected during interviews, they are one of the simplest ways to know whether or not you will like the job in the long term. By asking questions, you will: Demonstrate your interest about the role and the company. Better connect with your interviewer and/or your future manager. Gather important information to help you make a better decision. Clarify and validate if this new opportunity will meet your expectations. You owe it to yourself to ask questions to make sure that the position and future employer match your expectations.
