“ Sales Secrets of Success”
•Embrace & Live Lombardi rule: “ if your early your on time, if your on time your late, if your late don’t show up”
•Over dress. The best dressed always gets exponentially more attention than an average dressed peer. Pay particular attention to shoes, belts & watches. These accent pieces are what is 1st noticed by customers, & imply status & success, which the consumers are attracted to.
•Be ready, willing & able to meet with the customer any time, anywhere, 24/7.
…The salesman trades his time for $; the consumer trades $ to save time…
•Do “test sales”: say to the customer, “ if I can get you this item for this price, you’d be ecstatic, right ?” Get the customer involved in feeling as if they are getting a once in lifetime deal & the sales process will be infinitely easier.
•Groom daily. This might sound repetitive, but shaving daily & getting haircuts regularly ( for men ), give a fresh, clean cut allure.
•Work out daily. I know it’s difficult to do, but 1 exudes more confidence post work out. The blood is circulating, the skin exfoliating, the inner athlete shining. Even if it’s merely push ups and sit ups post work, do it. Even if it’s a walk of only two miles, do it. You’ll look better, feel better, & garner more attention.
•When selling, be useful. Suggest applications for the product in daily usage. Don’t use fear to sell, but offer worse case scenarios wherein the product is necessary and highly needed.
•Never ever predetermine if some one is not your typical customer type, doesn’t want something, or can’t afford it. In sum, a good salesman never judges a book by its cover. In doing so, he is limiting his potential audience: a massive potential audience is the key.
•Always intro oneself, so as to elicit the consumers name replying to introduce themself. Use their name every chance you can. This makes one seem connected, & this connection often will make the sale.
•Smile. Be happy. Sales should be fun. If someone is frowning, anxious, low-energy, low vibrational etc they will not come across as a successful person. Buyers want to buy from a successful person, not an unsuccessful one. Perception is reality, & when you appear to be having fun, no matter the demons one might have internally, their mood is intoxicating to the buyer.
•Make a friend. Bond with the buyer over anything & everything. You hear an accent ? Inquire as to where it’s from. You notice the have on a shoe brand you like? Mention it. Give compliments profusely. Don’t be snarky & don’t be standoffish. Be their confidant, their consultant, their friend.
•Finally, numero uno most important, always ask politely for referrals. Referrals are the difference between making 6 figures and twice that; they are the mark of a true entrepreneur & after one masters the ability to get them become an integral part of the salesman’s repertoire.
