We served over 80 #veterans and their families at our annual Bikes for Stripes event last week. This is such a wonderful event every year. A great opportunity to partner with other local organizations, offering a variety of resources to the #vets in our #community. What is Bikes for Stripes? It’s one of our programs at #MHVI. We provide gently used (donated) bikes to veterans and their children. Our #partner, the West Allis Rotary Club, has #volunteers who come and tune the bikes up. These bikes may be the only accessible & affordable mode of transportation for some of the #veterans we serve. #ServingOurVeterans #Gratitude

Horicon Bank offices in Grafton and Menomonee Falls are collecting Buddy Basket items in the month of April to benefit veterans who are transitioning to new homes/apartments. Our staff participated in a donation drive for Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative! GESTRA staff donated a total of 631 items, as well as monetary donations! Donations included couches, nonperishable food items, microwaves, toothbrushes, dressers, and so much more! Thank you to everyone who donated, it was a huge success!
