Webinar Alert!
Last month the Hypha team took to the road in Colorado with our friends at Dejero and IP Access International to demonstrate how our complimentary technologies establish reliable connectivity in the most challenging environments and extend coverage for front line first responders miles away from their vehicle or mobile command post.
Join Hypha's President, US Operations, Andrew Delaney, along with Dejero and IP Access International on Tuesday, August 1 for a webinar where we will share live data from our Colorado roadshow proving enhanced communication reliability and coverage for mission-critical connectivity: https://lnkd.in/ggCQbyKe

Yeas, I remember the times when we would count evey single byte and also when RAM used to cost 1 $/Byte (no kidding, I sold hundreds of kilobytes at that price). That was back in the 70's.
Fast-forward to 2024: the other day I was thinking about certain agencies located at Langley, Virginia, and their databases: Suppose we humans are all talkative as hell, uttering 500 characters (bytes) a minute for 16 hours a day. That makes 480 kB per day and person. We are (roughly) 7 billion in the world, so all that is said in the whole World in one day fits into 3360 TB. For a whole year it adds up to less than 1227 PB (peta-bytes).
A bit more than 1 esa-byte. Peanuts!!!
With current prices for a commonplace 128 TB SSD even I, a poor man, could afford to set up quite a few peta-bytes memory storage.
And those ca 1 esa-bytes is the grossly overestimted theoretical maximum needed to record ALL the talking generated by ALL the people in the World in one year!
So, they have absolutely no storage capacity problem at Langley for the rest of this Century. Not for overhearing and recording all of us and all the phones traffic.

If you ever wonder how much information a single CD-ROM can hold😲📰
In the 1990s, the CD emerged as a revolutionary advancement in the computer sector. It not only outpaced floppy disks in speed but also offered a remarkable increase in data storage capacity.💿
