One of the best creative things I've seen this month. High school seniors from Maryland put up a fake banner in town saying a Trader Joes was coming soon. Then anyone who scanned the QR code to learn more got Rick Rolled. If the masterminds behind this prank would like an internship, have them hit us up :)
Do people who scan random publicly placed QR codes still exist?
I thought about leaving 💀💀Qr codes at science 🧬 that would scan to our access of 2000 concerts that are stuck in an artic water contract looking to upgrade ( all non livenation, producers are long time friends) <~ still have access to them / waiting on Pham bam to care
Trader Joes needs to bring Rick on board as their spokesperson now! A combo made in heaven.
Two keys to a great prank: 1. Give people what they want. 2. Make it so believable, they don't realize it's a prank until it's too late.
The first TJs is in Pasadena, CA and these kids are from another town called Pasadena… there’s layers here!!
To know that today's kids are keeping the Rick Roll going and innovating the ways it lands on screens, gives me hope that we're gonna be alright! lol
There are some lines that should never be crossed! 😂 (I feel like Rick Rollaphobia will be a medically dianosed condition within our lifetime... I'm afraid of 84.1% of the links I come across for this very reason)
Oh it my idea Mike! Glad ya liked it. Let me know when I can come start my internship. 😬 #TJsRules
