However, improper handling of your food can spoil the fun for you and your loved ones. The Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (MDARD) urges Michiganders to practice safe food handling while having fun in the sun during the holiday weekend and beyond. Beginning at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, and continuing until 6 a.m. Monday, July 8, 105 out of 174 project statewide will have lane restrictions removed. While motorists will see suspended operations in most Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) work zones for the weekend, drivers are advised that equipment and certain traffic configurations may remain in place, like temporary shifts or shoulder closures. Today, the State of Michigan celebrates the 12th annual Michigan Social Media Day and the 15th Social Media Day worldwide. First recognized by digital media site Mashable in 2010, Social Media Day acknowledges the impact social media has on our daily lives and how we use it to communicate. As the third U.S. state to officially recognize Social Media Day in 2012, Michigan has and continues to be a leader in its use. In 2024, the State of Michigan social media program surpassed 11 million followers. Michigan’s seasonally adjusted jobless rate remained at 3.9 percent for the fourth consecutive month during May, according to data released by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget. Employment and unemployment in the state both advanced over the month, resulting in a labor force gain of 3,000 since April. “Michigan continued to display a strong labor market during May,” said Wayne Rourke, labor market information director for the Michigan Center for Data and Analytics. “Payroll jobs advanced for the fourth consecutive month.” Read more at https://lnkd.in/gKztxibt.
