HAN and CityHealth developed a partnership to explore how health systems can work with cities to improve community health through policy change and place-based investments. HAN members Boston Medical Center (BMC), Intermountain Health, and Trinity Health participated in a pilot learning cohort. #SDoH #healthequity #AnchorMission #CommunityWealth #ImpactInvesting #impactinvestment From the CityHealth article: As health systems are increasingly addressing health factors outside of the walls of their clinics and hospitals, there is growing momentum to support impactful change at the community level. This approach is an ideal complement to the work that CityHealth leads: providing a health focused, evidence-informed framework for local leaders to use as a benchmark and accountability tool. https://ow.ly/L2B050Qu5w6

I am excited to hear that SDH will now be an integral part of health education and contribute to unlearn ancient concepts that project the biomedical system as the primary roadmap to health. Healthcare practitioners will now be opportuned to be trained on how social factors intertwine to drive health outcomes and implement this gained knowledge in their practice! #socialdeterminantsofhealth #globalhealth
Today, we launch this World Health Organization guidebook on integrating SDH into health professions education. Was part of the original steering group that incubated this in 2015. Please spread to every school of health in the world! Great job julian fisher Nicole V. and colleagues! #PublicHealth #GlobalHealth #PlanetaryHealth https://lnkd.in/gwmT9CvS

“Here at Perley Health, innovation flows both ways: improvements in care at the bedside influence research agendas, while research findings influence improvements in care at the bedside,” says Heather MacLeod, Knowledge Translation Specialist, Perley Health. “I consider this our superpower. And by applying implementation science, improvements in care will be readily adopted by professionals and nonprofessionals across Canada and around the world.” The #CentreofExcellence’s knowledge translation (KT) strategy aims to address the central challenge in transforming care for Seniors and Veterans: reducing the gap between research and practice. I don't know Eric Bricker, MD but he does 10 minutes on Healthcare quality with passion, enthusiasm and (yes) a whiteboard. if you are a rep, why should you listen? Because he describes where healthcare is headed (imo). If you are a MedTech company, he tells you how much waste there is in the system (spoiler alert: 30-50%!!!). If you are a human, he tells you that we all should have some faith. There is hope that things can get better. Let's hope so. Great post Eric Bricker, MD. ValueAnalysisExpert.com 3tmedsurg.com
