Michigan Department of Transportation’s Post

Meet Tiffany Eldridge. Tiffany is the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) equal opportunity officer (EEO) who works closely with the Office of Human Resources in addition to serving MDOT's leadership team, focusing on the department's talented staff members. She ensures all MDOT employees have equal access to employment opportunities and promotes the spirit of diversity and inclusion. “I look forward to learning new things as an EEO officer and to establishing positive relationships that promote the best work environments for achieving the goals of MDOT,” Tiffany said. #BlackHistoryMonth is an excellent time to recognize the evolution of our American society with its rich culture and legacy. Tiffany cites the historic signing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by President Lyndon B. Johnson as a common ground for the American workforce, its concerns, and the employer. "During my undergraduate career at Michigan State University, my minor was in history with a specialization in African American society and culture," Tiffany said. "I am intrigued by history. For me, Black history means understanding the potential influence; it is about checking my thought process and rationale while operating with integrity, ensuring that I engage as an advocate." Tiffany looks forward to the future of MDOT and the phenomenal work we will do together. #MeetMDOT
