How does a solution to your problem benefit me? Said another way, What does your problem have to do with me, I have my own problems? Inequity is a universal problem with solutions that have universal and unifying benefits. Welcome to Monday Minute week 25. The curb cut effect is an example of structural bias and inequity that was resolved to provide unencumbered mobility for physically disabled people crossing the street. The “effect” now has cascading benefits to millions including you and me. June celebrates Pride Month and Juneteenth. Equity allows everyone to have a reasonable chance to obtain what is earned, deserved and desired. Bias and structural disadvantages are impacting careers, health, capital financing, family outcomes , and economic mobility. How do we leverage public, corporate and social impact policies to create equity-based solutions for families, employee, employers, communities and communities. #inclusiveleadership #leadership #curbcuteffect #equity
