⭐️'BOOOM' - the new €17m fund from solo GP Felix Plapperer 💡 This week Felix Plapperer is officially joining the ranks of Europe’s solo GPs, as his VC firm, BOOOM, announces a final close of its first fund at €17m. ⭐️ The Berlin-based fund will invest in European B2B software startups at pre-seed and seed, with a particular focus on supply chain and procurement tech startups. If you’re thinking that sounds familiar, it is — this is far from the only B2B SaaS-focused solo GP fund in Europe — but BOOOM has a twist. The three founders of German logistics unicorn sennder — David Nothacker, Julius Köhler and Nicolaus Schefenacker — “co-initiated the fund” and have committed to mentor all of its portfolio companies, Plapperer tells Sifted. BOOOM will write cheques of €100k-€400k in around 30 companies. Like many solo GP funds, it won’t seek to lead deals. ⭐️ Investors in the fund include partners from well-known VC firms Accel, Index and Creandum, along with a handful of institutional investors and founders of tech companies including Celonis, King, Flix and sennder.

The recently established microfund BOOOM💥 has declared its intention to invest between €100,000 and €400,000 in about thirty #European firms either in seed or pre-seed rounds. The recently established fund will concentrate on European B2B software at Pre-seed and Seed stages. It is supported by institutional investors, numerous founders of unicorn scale-ups including Celonis, Coupa Software, King.com, and Flix, as well as Partners at VC companies like Accel, Creandum, or Index Ventures. As General Partner, Felix Plapperer, a former Partner at B2B SaaS venture capital firm SquareOne, will oversee the €17 million fund. The founders of software unicorn Sennder, David Nothacker, Julius Koehler, and Nicolaus Schefenacker, will provide one-on-one mentorship to every startup team that receives funding from BOOOM. The company just held its last close, which brought in an excess of €17 million. DTCP raises $450 million for a growth and early-stage funds #DTCP, backed by Deutsche Telekom and SoftBank Group Corp., has successfully raised $450 million, marking the final close of its third growth fund and an initial closing of its new early-stage fund, Incharge Capital Partners, a joint venture with Porsche AG. This fresh capital injection is set to drive investments in enterprise companies and mobility startups. DTCP, now fully independent and known as Digital Transformation Capital Partners, managed to secure $330 million for its growth fund despite a challenging fundraising environment. The growth fund initially targeted $500 million with a $600 million hard cap. Additionally, Incharge Capital, based in Berlin and focusing on mobility startups, raised $125 million. DTCP was initially part of Deutsche Telekom but has since become independent. The managing partner leading the charge is Thomas Preuß. Deutsche Telekom remains the anchor investor for DTCP Growth, with SoftBank being the second largest investor. This reinforces SoftBank’s long-term relationship with DTCP and its continued commitment to growth equity investments. DTCP focuses on cloud-based enterprise software, particularly in market segments that are highly acquisitive. It has a global reach with offices in Hamburg, Frankfurt, London, Luxembourg, San Francisco, and Tel Aviv. The new early-stage fund will specifically target mobility startups. With $20-$25 million investments in Series B to late-stage funding rounds, DTCP addresses the scarcity of growth equity in Europe. DTCP has already invested in four companies—anecdotes, Cognigy, Cohere, and Quantum-Systems—highlighting a focus on AI and automation. Their strategic approach includes preparing companies for acquisition by larger strategic or private equity buyers, as demonstrated by SAP LeanIX’s acquisition by SAP for €1.2 billion.
