One statement in this article I want to highlight... "Non-essential or lower-priority efforts were either temporarily postponed or permanently shelved, freeing up organizational capacity." One of the hardest decisions that companies have to make regarding strategy is what to STOP doing in order to transform. It sounds easy enough - until it gets personal. Yet, the organizations that have the discipline and relentless focus to seize the opportunities ahead of them will always be making strategic decisions about what (and sometimes who) to leave behind. #strategicplanning #organizationaldevelopment #buildingplacespeoplewanttowork

🚀 How to maintain the momentum of transformation ? For most companies, organizational energy is the limiting factor in the speed and success of their transformation efforts. Change is inherently disruptive. Without diligent management, this disruption can become debilitating, eroding a company’s ability to transform effectively. This interesting article underscores four pivotal steps in managing organizational energy to facilitate successful business transformation : 1️⃣ be aware of the limit of individual & collective change capacity, 2️⃣ manage disruption meticulously (prioritization, clear & consistent communication, resource allocation), 3️⃣ recognize & reward success (understanding the unique “currency” that resonates with each individual or team is critical), 4️⃣ expand change capacity (by streamlining decision-making processes, by empowering individuals & by nurturing proactively resilience). #transformation #changemanagement #disruption #resilience

Organizational energy level is real and influences corporate capacity to change. It can be the deciding factor on whether significant transformative efforts succeed-- or stagnate. What are your tried and true practices to restore your teams’ energy levels?? “Neglecting organizational energy is a luxury companies cannot afford. Continuous transformation is imperative for companies to successfully navigate the increasingly volatile external environment. However, transformation entails significant change, and change is inherently disruptive. Without diligent management, this disruption can become debilitating, eroding a company’s ability to transform effectively."
