Passionate Charity Professional | Founder, The Saltways | Ethical Storyteller & Fundraiser | Building Meaningful Connections
Worried about the authenticity of your charity film? At The Saltways, we ensure that we capture your story authentically and organically. One of the ways we do this is to not use using slow motion. Less production. More truth. We also embrace the unexpected, which allows the raw truth to emerge, taking the pressure off of you and leading to a more enaging film.

LBL Charitable Foundation Limited will be producing a feature film, ASSUMPTION in 2025 and preparing this project in 2024. Script Review - ASSUMPTION Reviewer 2: Steven Fernandez - Thank You, Steven! Steven, a highly experience filmmaker kindly provided me some feedback on my script. Quote: “The strongest aspect of this script is its theme: That assumptions made too quickly can cause much harm - often to the innocent or disempowered. This is a message that needs to be told to the world. There remains serious improvement work needed, however, for the version of the script I have read [December 2023]. Particularly in the areas of dialogue and story structure. Especially in the first third of the script. The middle third, however, has some compelling moments”

Trigger warning - contains references to suicide.
The Charity Film Awards voting closes on January 11th and we would love for the film 'Courage' as created by AKT Productions Ltd in collaboration with the Consortium for the Prevention of Suicide to win an award. This short film is inspired by real life events and follows the story of a security officer who is struggling to cope but who finds courage and hope to live on. This film is not only brilliant in it's story telling purposes, but the way in which it creates hope for those who are suffering. Please vote now! Film Producer Slate of Sellable Impactful Movies | Business Growth Expert | Invest because we are producing high quality impact features de-risking investments (and a charitable cause).
Great news!! We might have Paul Anderson (Peaky Blinders) join our cast on The Manor It would be a stellar cast for such a small budget: Neal McDonough, Mena Suvari, Scout Taylor Compton, Jeff Chase, Paul Anderson and Simon Phillips. The Manor is like Eyes Wide Shut, The Shinning, Jacob's Ladder. We are certain it will be a cult film that dwells in the psyche of guilt and path to redumption. The story revolves around a drunk driver who after accidentally killing a young girl is invited to a secluded very strange Manor. We are planning to film 2 movies back to back. The other, as exciting, called The Unearthed is a meet between The Thing and Event Horizon. The visionary director Kevin Lewis would direct both. The Ask of the sales estimates combined with the tax credits is way over the budget so the investment is fully collaterized and derisked 🚀 Plus we offer 10% of our profits to charity on each project. So exciting!! #investmentopportunity #bts #derisked #filmfinance #filminvestment #moviesnews #psychothriller #theshinning #thething #horror #thriller #philanthropy #impactinvestment #imoact #givingback #charity #filmwithapurpose #purposedriven #roadtosuccess #roi #collaterizedinvestment #capitalgain

I don't believe I have ever posted here on Linked In before, but this is something near and dear to my heart. Last year I had the unreal privilege to work on a film directed by a filmmaker who's movies were a huge part of my childhood and had a profound influence on the beginning of my love and appreciation for the horror genre and film in general (you could call his films "horror lite" I suppose). Around that same time I joined the board of the Vermont Production Collective because I wanted to make tangible improvements for something I care deeply about here where I live. I want there to be more opportunities, like I had last year, for filmmakers all over the state and for the economy around film to grow and thrive. Vermont has not historically been friendly to film productions. There is no official "film office" or a person to answer the phones for out of state folks wanting to film here. No current database of crew and locations. We have no tax incentives that act as a lure to attract large studios here (which is why they instead would fly their cast to Romania to film a show set in "Vermont") who then spend tens of thousands of indirect dollars to boost up the local economy and businesses in our towns. A big part of what VPC's efforts are focused on is filling that gap. Creating and maintaining that database, ensuring someone is answering the phones. Ensuring that out of state productions can find AND HIRE film industry professionals living in the state. We also have a keen desire to foster and grow our community that is already here. Earlier this week we launched a fundraiser to help bolster our efforts for 2024. Collaborations with local film festivals. Sponsored industry meet ups. Ensuring that the filmmakers and creative industry folks who want to stay here have resources so that they can. This is going to be a big year of transition and growth for film in the state. Working with legislators to lay pathways to create jobs, grow the creative economy and ensure that Vermont has a seat at the table when it comes to the movie making industry. I am truly excited about what the future brings, but like with everything, money is a factor. $1, $10, $100. Literally every dollar earned through this effort matters and makes a difference. Please take a minute to check it out or share with a friend. It would mean a lot. https://lnkd.in/gSt2p3YU
To date, VPC hasn't made a fundraising appeal, but this year we've realized we can't do it alone. We have one month to raise $3,000 to make our programs possible for another year. This includes recruiting professional actors and cover event costs for our Screenplay Incubator table read, supporting our regional meet-ups, and our daily work of supporting the film and media community across our great little state. Can we count on your to help us continue to be stronger together and to create a robust creative industry in Vermont? Please show your support for the arts and film in Vermont by making a contribution to VPC today. https://lnkd.in/duZwCCs2

Donor-advised funds are not just for the wealthy. We manage these for our clients as a tool for tax planning and legacy giving. "Donor-advised funds have come under criticism because giving to them can generate an immediate tax deduction, while the donated funds can sit for years. By contrast, private foundations—another charitable vehicle often used by the wealthy—are required to distribute funds over time and must disclose details about donations and charitable operations." https://lnkd.in/ehSQTzyv
