Anyone who regularly wants to draw architecture diagrams or illustrations in PowerPoint will certainly be familiar with the following problem. Microsoft offers a lot of icons in SVG format, but the handling in connection with PowerPoint is cumbersome. On another rainy weekend in October 2023, I felt like writing a few lines of code after a very long time. This resulted in a small application that extracts SVG icons from a directory and stores them clearly in PowerPoint using the directory structure. However, I haven't managed to finalize the tool since then. Thanks to the lack of summer in Hamburg, I have now found the time to finalize the whole thing. I have made the generated Power Point Deck available for download on Github. I will update the deck regularly when Microsoft releases new icons. Happy architecturing! https://lnkd.in/eGY52tWj #Microsoft #Icons #Architecture #Azure #Dynamics365 #PowerPlatform #PowerPoint #Github
This is awesome. Would be cool if you were planning to share on GitHub the code you used to iterate the directory structure and dynamically create a PowerPoint file too.
That's awesome and totally what I've needed last week! Is it possible to ask you for adding M365 services also?
Thx for sharing. Happy to highlight this repo on my next architecture diagrams stream
Awesome! I normally use this on https://code.benco.io/icon-collection/azure-icons/ but this one looks more expanded. Thnx!
This is totally fabulous. Thank you so much. Wrestling with exactly this problem for pre-sales presentation is always so frustrating.
Thank you for sharing!
Kleine Tat, riesen Mehrwert! 👍
Wow thank you for this!!!!

1wI wonder if this can be imported in Visio as well?
