“We will cooperate fully” should be the only answer, in my opinion, and defer to the corporate attorneys on strategy. Never think that because you work at a top five international PR agency, or an important entity, that you can control the press. Just ask the PR reps for the National Football League, President Trump, the above mentioned corporations and others over the years.) When crafting programs, it’s important to take past client problems into consideration. https://bit.ly/3scaeEb #CommPRO #Politics

How to land a media feature in your dream publication: 1. Research and send out consistent pitches to best-fit outlets that get you and your business in front of your ideal customer (or hire a PR firm like ours to do it for you 👀 ). Pitching is a quality game, but you have to stay consistent to get consistent wins. 2. Build ongoing relationships with reporters so even when you're not the right fit for a current story, you're top-of-mind for future stories. 3. Keep an eye and ear out for fast-pitch media opportunities calling subject leaders to provide insight on breaking news stories. (We help our clients with this!) After pitching our client, The NY Amsterdam News tapped Kathleen Stuart, CEO and founder of a political communications agency, Stuart Collective, for her strategic insight on the current political climate. She shared her insight with the oldest Black newspaper, which yields over 300,000 unique visitors to its website. 4. Wash, rinse, and repeat with a news cycle that moves 24/7. Or, you know, outsource your PR and digital marketing to the pros. DM us to get talking! #Publicist #LifeOfAPublicist #PublicRelations #Communications

As professionals in the communications field, we can learn valuable lessons from Dan Andrews’ communications approach. Andrews rewrote the political messaging playbook, embracing social media with over 1M followers, bypassing traditional outlets. His one-liners resonated and stayed true to his government's values. Most notably, he centralised information flow, ensuring consistent messaging. Regardless of one's opinion, Andrews' communication legacy will be studied for years. Going out undefeated, his ability to connect with voters remains a defining aspect of his political legacy. #CommunicationSkills #PoliticalCommunication #DanAndrews https://lnkd.in/gQN76VWi
