This is the ONE thing that I know all hiring managers would be impressed by. It’s not where you got your degree from or all the cool brands you’ve worked at. It’s signs that you are PROACTIVE and will take the necessary steps to find a solution. Plus: staying proactive at work can also be your ticket for that well-deserved raise or promotion. Here’s how you do that: 1️⃣ Don’t wait around for someone. Instead be a solution SEEKER Propose innovative solutions, streamline processes, and showcase your problem-solving prowess. 2️⃣ Embrace the challenge of learning something NEW Show your dedication to growth, and watch your value skyrocket in the eyes of your manager. They will reward you the more you show off this skill of sticking with things. 3️⃣ And of course, show INITIATIVE Take the lead! Identify opportunities for improvement, suggest new projects, and take ownership of your work. Being proactive is gonna be your ticket to having the career you’ve always wanted. Earlier this week, someone asked me what the top three things were that I learned while working at my last company, so I figured I'd share here. 3. Never deviate from brand. Every decision to associate or disassociate must be intentional. Literally, everything. It was really cool to see the application of this being executed and carried out on a daily basis. 2. Understand the weight of opportunity costs. The weight of opportunity is heavy. We spent a lot of time weighing opportunities in order to prioritize the very best ones. 1. Loyalty trumps just about everything. You don't have to be the smartest or the most talented to be successful. If you can offer neither, then offer loyalty.
